The story so far...
Pg.1
Once upon a time, in a small village, a girl named Ahilya lived with her parents. Everything was going well, but one day everything changed.
One day, Ahilya met a person who was riding a horse and wore royal garments. She also noticed that he carries a sword too. She have never seen such a man with great physique. She was wondering in her own mind who he might be.
That horse-rider had a small troop along with him. "Maybe he's a zamindar, subedar or a warlord from Peshwa's army", thought Ahilya. While she was pondering about that man, Ahilya suddenly observed that he and his battalion were proceeding in a direction where there was a huge cliff ahead. And they were moving at a speed which would be almost impossible to halt if they moved any further.
Ahilya let the troop pass as she knew the cliff wasn't that high, they would be stopped eventually by the river's flow.
She waited at the riverside for the troops with water and food for their hospitality.

Her wait speeded up the flow of thoughts in her mind like the running waves. Questions multiplied and she was in a dilemma as to what should she ask first.
One of the soldier (probably their chief) came forward and asked her, "Ye dana-paani hamare liye hai? To de do. Bhookh se pareshan ho rahe hai sab."
When ahiliya was about to give them food and water suddenly the house rider screamed. He said,"Ham ek rajkumar hai aur aise chote logo ka khana ham nai khayenge" and by saying this he throws away the food. But ahiliya is not a person to take this lightly.
"To phir thik hai, raho bhookhe." She proceeds to feed the troop, except the Raajkumar. He sits on his horse, his stomach grumbles with hunger but his ego won't let him eat, but his hunger was eating him. Ahilya was enjoying the look on his face.
Rajkumar is angry and says,"ham ye apmam yaad rakhenge". Ahiliya gives him a sarcastic smile and says,"par ham aapko yaad nai rakhenge"
Ahilya continued serving the troops enjoying her side glances of the Prince. The air was filled with aromatic food and now the Prince just yearned for one more request from Ahilya to have the food. But Ahilya in all her stubbornness continued to ignore him.
The prince was all angry and drove his horse away. Two soldiers ran after him for his safety.
Ahilya rolled her eyes at his childish antics.
Ahilya muttered under her breath, "Akroo rajkumar kahika". At that instance, a man with a regal semblance approached her and asked, "Beta who are you and in which village do you belong?" The man had a serene countenance but his eyes were exactly the same as that Akroo Rajkumar. "Maybe he's the father of that prince", thought Ahilya.
Pg.3
This man was a bit elderly but was glistening in his royal attire. His mannerisms and vocals were so humble that contrary to the looks, Ahilya couldn’t believe this could be Akdoo prince’s dad.
They spoke at length and in no time they felt a strong connection.
Later the man went to Ahilya's house and talked to her father. He wanted Ahilya to marry his son and be his daughter in law. Her father readily accepted but Ahilya was not ready, she couldn't see herself married to an arrogant spoilt brat like that prince. Sh tried to tell her parents but they wouldn't listen, after all, she would be a princess and maybe queen in future.
She ran panting towards her best friend’s house Renu to share her woes. Renu explained not all suffer in a marriage. The advantage would be she would be in her puccampucci dost’s house with him as a father in law. What more can one ask for? Ahilya calmed down hearing this.
Ahilya agreed fot the alliance and they got married with great pomp and grandeur.
She was brought to the Holkar vaada and was given huge responsibilities as the young daughter in law of Holkar clan.
Her mother in laws were not happy with this alliance and tried to put her down but she managed to win their hearts through her innocence and sweet nature.
But her husband was a tough nut to crack.
The days were passing with its own highs and low, when one day Ahilya saw a tensed MR . On asking him about the same, she got to know that the enemies were going to attack Malwa soon and they would be surrounded by the enemy's army from all four sides. On hearing about MR's worry, a sudden idea came into Ahilya's mind that could probably be the solution to the impending danger.
Ahilya shared her idea with MR who really appreciated the young brain's brilliance but was unsure of its success, his experience said otherwise. MR decided to go with her plan but keep his backup plan ready as well. They were waiting for the forces. On one fine night, they heard a large number of troop approaching them but they could not see the forces, only hear them, everything was convered in dense fog. Suddenly the army of the half-dead approached them and MR's forces panicked.
