I am nowhere saying they cant make their shows, but they will have to do it smartly. Its not like Indian audience weren't progressive. Few days ago, I spoke about how bold shows were the norm during prime time. Its just kekta single handedly regressed ITV by two centuries
There are still shows that survive and become exception, for instance kuch rang is quite modern in its approach. Lot of sony shows can make that cut by say 35-40%
Star One was a good example even channel V shows, the issue was their marketing and time slot failed
