No, that's wrong thought. The country is run by what's laid in the constitution and not by press conferences which are add no significant valve to the functioning.

PM is not answerable via press conferences. Lok sabha elections prove the mandate of people and they will exercise that choice as they have done in past. Journalists are not constitutional authority.

PM is supposed to work for the nation and not attend press conferences, in the end the work holds prime importance.

You can harp on the constitution all you want....but the PMs of a democratic country should hold press conferences at regular intervals...it is the right of the people to know what the elected officials are doing.....and not doing that by hiding behind the constitution is cunningness. I repeat.....and regarding doing work...Modi has been attending and holding rallies for elections in covid times and catcalling CMs.....Didi o Didi....what kind of behavior is that by a PM?? The shambles that the country in in right shows what work this govt is doing....

But to look on the brighter side....thank God Modi doesn't hold press conferences.....the rehearsed interviews he gives.....uss mein he makes so many blunders toh pata nahi press conference mein what he will say....India will be a laughing stock ....just like Trump made USA...

One thing I agree Modi is failing at that is properly communicating his government actions to the public. He isn't hiding though.. very often he has mann ki baat and says awfully lot of things. Those who oppose him don't listen to those Mann ki Baat sessions.

Those with vested interests will only show you that Modi has only worked toward one Ram Temple... When he has done alot of things which ideally BJP should communicate in better way if they want to come back in power.

Karwa Chauth is a regressive practice and should be rightfully condemned.

I'm all for my choice, but when it comes to religion, we're not really given a choice. We're supposed to practice the religion of our family since childhood, along with all the traditions that comes with it, whether it makes sense or not.

The core idea of KC is about women keeping fast for their husbands for their long life. This mentality is still entrenched in most Indian families. So even if you're not really forcing women to fast (in a threatening way), making it a tradition automatically makes them do it, because that's what expected from them.

You, like Sherlock Holmes, leave me crumbs/clues, and I, like Watson, is expected to solve the mystery??😭. I haven't watched the movie, but, I know the basic premise. Is it tge movie with "mere paas maa hain"?? Now, how am I supposed to understand wat u meant by refering to that movie? Is it problamatic for u? Then let's discuss how . Instead of that, since the last two of your posts, you are just giving out generic statements, instead of giving me the names of the movies, which according to u, are maligning traditions. If you don't want to go into specifics, then wats the need of the discussion. We can go around circles all day.

I was evading purposefully.

I had my learning curve about how movies malign cultures and traditions.. maybe if I say you will agree or not. So I'm giving you a starting point and you can explore.

We don't need to go in circles and very well end the discussion because I'm not here to compel your viewpoint.

Modi/BJP they know social media people don't care about all these PM schemes and economic reliefs provided by the government, because those are for the poor.

The middle class have been neglected as usual, so the only way to grip them or lure them is by using what fuels an average general Hindu middle class, i.e. religious and patriotic themes.

Press conferences are a choice which may be exercised or not. It's far more significant and required that a PM works for the nation.

In democracy, mandate of people is the key and they exercise it to elect their choice of leader. If they are unhappy they won't vote. But Indians did overwhelmingly vote for him , so majority is happy with him. Citizens have right to vote for whosoever they like.

No one is laughing and no country cares for press conferences in the least. Countries focus on bilateral relations and trade. These policies remain more or less same irrespective of the party in power.

See whether one's choice of candidate or party wins or loses, one must respect the mandate.

But the fact that he chose not to do any does say a lot about him
