Not a quote. That's weirdly touchy and aggressive for an innocuous discussion about height. A national avg of adults should include all adults.

I didn't realize nutrition had such a big role to play in heights (however obvious it might seem to some). Thanks for making that point!

I wouldn't go to a site like weather.com for something like this. It links to the below pdf from the NIN which gives revised estimates for how much average Indians should weigh and how many calories they should be consuming. It's for that specifically that they have raised the average height that they are considering. For instance, they are providing the suggested daily calorie intake for men based on the person being 5'8''. Earlier, the suggested calorie intake was based on the man being shorter.

That doesn't however mean that the average Indian male is now 5'8''!!

Supposedly the "Indian team" at weather.com has written up this article - based no doubt on the desi Indian media style of writing where they barely understand what they're talking about. This study is NOT saying Indians are now taller.

The person got uppity with you in their quickness to show off that Indians are taller because they believe tallness is better so of course Indians are tall and how dare they be considered short.

TLDR: NIN published calorie intake information based on a taller suggested height unlike in the past when they gave daily intake based on shorter people. Hence, they are basically telling Indians to eat more to maximize their potential height. They are not saying Indians are actually 5'8'' for men and 5'4'' for women!!

I would too but Ash's height changes with every source. I didn't want people looking up Ash and going with the first google result cuz it says 5'5" there. So I went with SRK's height instead.😆
