Episode 19
The episode was not good but average, but at least the subplots moved, and I feel that from next week the focus will be more on the main story. For a change, i liked how mahi did not cry in the episode, and seems like she is slowly gathering herself.
Mahi, her biggest sorrow is not that she lost her husband, she did not love him or knew him much to mourn him or his memories for more than two days, the biggest sorrow is that she is blamed for the death as her brother has been involved in the enmity, also the guilt heightens when she already was burdened with the blame of breaking Farhad too. For a change, I was so glad that in this episode, Mahi was more getting into bonding with the kids and then she was more interested in the family affairs rather than mourning two men at the same time š. Her suffering will slowly decreases, once her MIL starts to see her innocence and gets over her son's trauma, Mahi will find validation here too, and I hope it happens soon, she does not deserve the treatment from Amma sain.
Sikka-Mahi angle is obviously going to be played out, Amma sain will think both are widowed and alone and deserve each other, I hope before Sikka, Mahi refuses, please I hope this time Mahi does not disappoint, she better speaks up if they ever offer her with this choice, because we all know Mahi is no way interested in a second marriage now. Also, I the fan in me still wants Mahi to somehow miraculously feel for Farhad even if it is for millisecond, and for that Mahi has to be shown someone with a thought process here first, not someone who can accept any guy for marriage just because that is what her family cares about.
Romana, has my heart, as much as gorgeous she is, she is a woman with so much guroor (just like Farhad) on her love for Sikka, like she does not fear to openly claim it, there was a say that 'Love can either make you blindly courageous and brutal or a sole coward', in both Romana and Farhad's case we have seen how crazy these two have been when it came to acceptance of their love. I like how the writer here drew parallels between Farhad and Romana's individual situations, one blindly followed his instincts and forsook his whole life and family behind and the other one has forsaken her art and wants to spend her life in just intezaar. I understand, the writer here wants to depict love as a saga of fantasy, wants to show that one emotion is good enough to change the course of life and then the fate decides the end. As much as I feel bad for Romana, I feel Sikka loves her too, he is just scared and just how jagirdari came in between Mahi and Farhad, here it will come between RomSik too, but I cannot sympathize with him because he has regularly visited Romana, has indulged into a sexual relationship with her, also made her believe that she is never welcomed at the doors of the so called izzatdar haveli, knows that she loves him blindly and he still is scared? Scared of the society that these people themselves make? I really hope Sikka does not need a push from either Farhad or Mahi instead he takes a stand for Roma, aisi mohabbat ka kya phaida if an unknown 3rd person needs to open your blindfolds.
Romana connected with Farhad because, again instincts? I know many people find it weird that how can you see a strange looking homeless and feel connected, but again human instincts is a marvelous piece of gift from God, we tend to feel and connect to people who have been through a similar sort of journey, also, in the train when the people were accusing Farhad of stealing, his face and eyes were terribly numb and he did look like a very broken man, Romana must have just sympathized at that point too, especially after seeing him sitting and not reacting to anyone. She needs answers, answers from him, and I hope she gets some. Chanda aunty blaming Farhad of being someone who can do jaadu tona and snatch everything, gave me a bad nausea, I was like aunty STFU, the man was in the mens chamber to look for a seat, you do not have manners, it is not his fault that Romana felt for him, he does not have any involvement here whatsoeverš¤¢
Lastly, Farhad, the 1 minute shot gave me such a miserable feeling, that may be for the first time I did not complain that Farhad had just a single minute shot, he has been grief struck since episode 7, but this single shot truly suffocated me, I did not want see it, because seeing him let Mahi go in such a miserable way from his mind has always been my fear. It was terribly heart breaking to see him trying to swallow a bite with only an image of Mahi and him going backwards, indicating the happiest dream turning into a nightmare. Him remembering 'Mere khwab jhoote hai'? and Mahi saying 'Yes', again shows that no matter how good or bad a person is, he/she is cursed the moment they fall into a delusion, and for Farhad his entire life just became a delusional joke. His condition and his trauma hurts me now, I cannot see him like this, mute and not being reactive to his senses, I do not know what did he ever do to deserve this, but I can surely say meeting Mahi and falling in love with her was the worst thing that could have happened to him, I am sure he would love any woman he would marry, loyalty is their in his every bone, but whatever shit he has been going through, it is inexplicable, if the writer thinks that one sided love should ruin, traumatize and kill an otherwise good and innocent soul, then he needs help, also to find Allah Farhad did not have to be ruined this way, he could still find Allah and his ishq e haqiqi without the misery, Mahi was a woman whom he loved, making Mahi a curse in his life is unacceptable.
Mir Hadi found back his humanity after loving Khaani, Farhad lost his everything after loving Mahi, both one sided, both questionable cases, but see the bad guy found peace and the good guy will die with more suffering, WOW š¤¢
