Being a Neil fan, I started watching this show only for him. I found Ayesha ok - didn't find her particularly good but definitely not bad. Until I saw her acting during KJ's death. Some people may find her not very subtle in that scene - but what impressed me was that as a viewer, I felt like she was undergoing all that emotion. It was not an actor acting, but Sai grieving over the loss of her beloved father - there was so much heart in that portrayal.

Since then, I began to take notice. What I found was she was exemplary in emotional scenes - be it remembering her father or in her fights scenes with Virat. She still has some raw edges - dialogue delivery and during certain family confrontation scenes when she has to make a thunderous statement. But there is no mistake that she is raw, natural talent. Kudos to the casting director for recognising her talent.

Neil is more rounded - after all he has been in the industry for so long. Neil's forte is definitely his subtle expressions. Not many would agree, but in emotional scenes, I find Ayesha a notch higher than Neil. Her acting is these scenes has a lot of soul - which is very very rare.

You echoed exactly my thoughts, I wrote something similar on another thread, but you worded it so beautifully!!

So everyone who agrees with this thread and wants to, can vote for Ayesha!! And if interested also Neil and Bhartiji and Aish (AS VILLAIN) and Ghum and Sairat 😊

I think they should also have one award for music, we'd win easily 😆

I have seen so much dedication and improvement from her side. Her graph seems to be exponential. This is for many non regular watchers like me a 'Sai Joshi' show. I see the show when she takes the charge.😆😆

Thank you so much for this thread. This girl deserves much more credit and appreciation that she is given at present.

I have always maintained I was in this show for Neil and Virat. Infact found both the girls meh, and found Aishwarya a bit better in the beginning, probably because she was subtle then. However how this girl grew on me. I noticed her when she shot losing her aaba sequence. She portrayed the teenage girl losing her world brilliantly. Her acting has the naivety, the nuance pointed out by Kishori ji as well.. She got me crying in that scene and then the other scene where she has her aaba's photo in her hand and she looks all lost and scared in Virat's room after greh Pravesh... with O ri chidaiya playing in the BG.. My god she stole my heart there and thats where she became my dewdrop.

Ayesha is brilliant in emotional scenes, emotional breakdown and also the scenes where she is heartbroken and yet in a confrontational mood. She was great in the whole Amey episode and also the ladakh confrontation..She nails the savage part of Sai as well..👏👏

To think she was the last one to join the team and the team was not so sure about her in the beginning and also had her on a probation basis probably, this girl proved that they were all wrong.. 😆She is the perfect Sai for me..Ayesha Singh is Sai Joshi...Sai Joshi is Ayesha Singh for me.❤️

Special mention to Ayesha for bringing her own touch in getting shy scenes..She does not breath heavily but has a blush on her cheek and shyness in her eyes, which again denotes the shyness a girl new in love goes through..Looks so so natural.. No heavy breathing , no setting the duppatta/palloo.. Pure anticipation. 👏

Oh no no, I agree..shambhu taka agree.. She outplays him in the emotional scene and I have pointed it in my earlier posts as well..You got to watch her scene after greh Pravesh, where she is sitting in the room , with aaba's photo in her hand looking scared, lost and confused in Virat's room.. You heart will cry for her in that scene..Emotional scenes are her forte.. Also like Kishori ji mentioned what makes it all perfect is the fact that she is new, brings her own nuance and Naivety to Sai.. and that works for Sai..Even Sai getting shy scenes are so well done and fresh from what we have seen..

Neil is very good with subtle scenes, the scenes where not much is expected and he puts in his improvisation, like how he carried the briefcase with him yesterday.. The scenes without dialogues, there is no outplaying him there..

The best part is even in emotional scenes, she shows great variation - depending on the circumstances and mood of the scene. Wonderful talent! From my limited ITV experience, she is definitely the best actress I've ever seen.

I too cried during KJ death and gruhapravesh. 💔

And I agree she aces blushing.😳

She truly is THE Sai Joshi. 😎No one could have done justice to her character.

As for Neil, he is the only reason Virat passes. His character is very complex and had to be written with skill - but he ends up being the most poorly-written character. The best portrayal of a complex male lead was in IPKKND. The characterization had depth and unbelievable consistency and it was performed so beautifully by Barun. I wish they had written Virat as well as Arnav - and left out the blood-boiling abuse scenes. It would have been interesting to see Neil's portrayal and SaiRat would have been an iconic jodi.

I agree, if they eradicate the abuse part and his spineless part, which is a copy of the original . Virat does carry a lot of shades, grey ones at that. His insecurity , possessiveness and authoritarian attitude towards Sai is what is the grey part of Virat. They have a good actor at hand they can do much better..

Arnav's graph was always consistent. He never disregarded Khushi's parents and when in love he was the ASR to the world and Arnavji to Khushi. Like he was Chote to Anjali and ASR to the world and Khushi before falling in love. They butchered khushi in the end, but Arnav/ASR remained throughout. And imagine Vankar was part of this team

Thank you for this post. She just does not get the appreciation that is due to her. And for some reason, I feel very protective towards her. I guess, it is lovely to be part of someone's growth process.

Even her confrontation last week was good. Still a bit stiff in dialogue delivery but most of the time, she was very good. She speaks hindi very well in real life, she is hindi speaking anyway.

I guess she has to learn huge pages of dialogues and that adds to her stress.

I still think of Kishori Ma'am's comment about her, that noone knew her. I somehow felt bad when I heard it then though it was true. But I guess she must be encouraging her a lot since Ayesha said she' very close to her. In the beginning, I guess her reticence and her inexperience showed up and most must not realised she would turn out to be such a find.

My fav scenes of hers from the initial tracks were all those mentioned plus the safe house scenes, DIG episodes, Amey's track. I never could understand when I saw severe criticism of the scenes for Abha's death. She behaved her age. And for me, that's why it was more effective.

She monitors everything about herself, and must be reading all the criticism too. I hope she does very well for herself.

Well written Asmi. 👏

Irony of my life, I was looking for a desi serial to watch. And Ghum held no interest for me till I read the KD synopsis and I found it interesting. I thought of all the nuances and dynamics of the characters and thought it would be intense. 🤣. I actually picked the serial to watch.

Basically, I didn't know any of the actors and from the promos, Ayesha seemed like the weakest link. Again, ironical!! She's completely changed my perspective.
