No idea. The email claimed that they have recorded me on my computer and will leak the videos. I hardly use my laptop except for study purposes. So they’re most likely lying or have live footage of me crying over my assignments 😆

But it’s a common spam email. A lot of people have received it too.

lol, in easy terms, it is about trading cheques in real, like 1 cheques / bitcoin equals to $40,000 +. So it depends how many cheques you have, the demand supply, will it be a currency in the future.

If you trade stocks in real, it can give you lots of money, it can make you a money making machine if you are really good but this is a digital version of it, I dont feel very confident abt it. Like you said there could also be hackers, spams, scams etc

YES I have. More than once.

How difficult was it when looking for another job? Exactly the same as it was to look for any other job at any other time.

And I'm going to respectfully disagree with this well-liked post below:

I've not had this experience.

But to anyone that has been through this, few suggestions:

1. Since this is for "voluntary" clearly mention the reason why the gap was chosen. Most are understanding enough.

2. If the gap is still in, till the time you get the job, try to do some online courses with relevant certificates to your field of job. Or attend webinars etc. Make sure you add all this information in your resume. This demonstrates that you are using this time to improve yourself.

Finally don't give up. It may take time, but you'll get what you're looking for eventually!

Best of lucksmiley20

I believe it is okay to just take a break from it ALL. No courses, no training. Doing those things during a period of voluntarily taking a break from work could add the same pressure that you were getting at work.

I would happily advise taking 4 months off work. Sit at home and do nothing but read books and watch TV. You deserve it. No idea what your circumstances/reasons for taking a break are but if it's for mental health reasons, do not hesitate to take care of that. There will always be jobs around. Employers DO NOT CARE about your health. YOU need to take the initiative.

Go and meet old friends in another city for a fortnight. Sit at home doing nothing for another 10 days. Do whatever you need to recharge.

If need be, you can always fill the gaps in your CV with something.

Of course, volunteering for a charity during the break or indeed taking courses is NOT always a bad thing, I am not saying that. Do whatever you feel comfortable with.

I just wanted you to see the other side of this argument.

❤️

You don't have to disagree. Our opinions can coexist.

First, let me grab this opportunity to state that I wanted to type "If the gap is still on*". I use swipe functionality to type on my mobile (on purpose) so it routinely misspells my words (e.g. Recently it's instead of its).

Gotten that out of the way:

I'd advise to get these courses done AFTER you're done with your break, and are actively looking to enter the job market.

Again, these courses will NOT be suitable to all job profiles. So do these only if these would help your case.

✌️
