This is one thing in particular which I could never come to terms with. Gul shows usually try to romanticize emotional and physical abuse. Especially IPK and Ishqbaaaz both were so problematic they legit pissed me off with the threats and manhandling despite the fact that I enjoyed watching both of these back in the time. Abusive relationships are a deal-breaker for me and I get so mad when it's shown over and over again on TV as passionate and romantic, and makers try to justify such actions. There is this episode in IB (forced marriage) where the ML Shivaay threatens Anika that he will make her wear the bridal dress if she didn't do it herself and comply to his demands. That whole track was so problematic imo, I could never truly forgive Shivaay as a character after that.
I've been observing Ahaan's character very closely and so far he doesn't seem to cross that line where it becomes unacceptable. The last few episodes pre and post-leap make sense because he hasn't actually tried hurting her. Overall too, his character has been slightly different from previous Gul MLs (which is so refreshing) and I'm really hoping the manhandling thing doesn't become an issue here.
I hope Ahaan is not going to propose by showing his singing talent with Ishq Waala Love🤢
