They did such a good job with the backstory! It's a little cliched, sure, but it hits all the right points for what we've known so far. Based on the setting described, I can completely imagine a villain like Krishna Rao, the scam he conducted, getting a desperate teenager to be the face of it, the angry mob. It all fits well.
I think it also fits with Jaya and Kirti's anger, and Raghav's guilt. While Raghav's intentions weren't wrong, there was an explicit mistake which resulted in the deaths. I was worried they'll make him completely blameless, and make it all a total misunderstanding, and I'm glad they didn't take that route. Had they gone there, Jaya and Kirti would have become as irredeemable as Vijay.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the mob scenes looked pre-shot, right? Meaning they had this story fleshed out in advance, and are not writing on the fly, which is great. Explains how plotlines mostly resolve consistently.
