Yeah, the marriage is completely legal!

They both are major, above the legible age for marriage. The marriage was performed with both their consent. And they performed all the ceremony according to hindu religion. So according to Hindu Marriage Act it's legal.

Marriage certificate or marriage registration is not mandatory but it's obviously good to get it done.. but if not done it doesn't affect the status of marriage.

Maami was saying that because the land belongs to all brothers, so being Shiva's wife, Raavi also has right on it. And Gaura alone can't decide about it. Which technically is right!
