I think she will forgive (or may have already forgiven by that time) - but she may not be willing to trust on him again. Because from her perspective, he needed proof or reason to believe her - her word wasn't good enough. I think there was a dialog in Humsafar, which can work here too like "yeh kaise muhabbat hai jis mein bharosa hi nahi tha" ... something like that.
On a different note, i was thinking of bollywood and love triangles ... honestly, there were some movies in which i have to give it to the writers that despite so many issues, they figured out a way without making the other person negative (or at least completely negative).
1. Hasee toh phasee
2. Cocktail
3. Kal Ho Na Ho (though they killed off SRK's character lol)
4. Hum Tum (another death lol)
5. Parineeta
Agree with you. I too don't want Ishqi to be able to get over everything so soon. She has been mentally scarred and it is so evident that Karthik noticed it right away when he saw Ishqi for the first time post-leap. Ahaan's anger managed to make Ishqi what losing her parents, having an abusive father figure or everyday humiliation couldn't make--hopeless, desperate and one with trust issues. This girl had to give agnipariksha since the day she met these Sanskaari and Co. Private Limited. What is love, without trust?
This is also why I believe that what Ahaan's feelings from earlier (pre-leap) for Ishqi wasn't fully-developed love. The journey to love Ishqi might've begun back then par yeh mukammal ab hone chala hain. He'll have to learn to trust Ishqi even if the circumstances aren't in her favor, and he needs to work hard to rightfully earn her trust back.
Btw, the movies, yes--I was talking about this in another post how ITV always turns the other/cameo love interest into a creep/vamp for the sake of a hassle-free reunion. Kabhi to yeh choice mushkil rakho bhaiii😆
