This song is so beautiful ❤️ true, they did such an amazing job with expressions too. And at that time these were all hand-drawn too, so much work they've put in it, quality is excellent.
@bold
This is so damn true. They've made this movie with so much respect, unlike some shows and movie in here, who would've added something ridiculous for Masala or unnecessary controversial things just to please some. It is unfortunate that some people think that making fun or being ignorant towards their culture makes them open-minded. Worst is when they go around spreading false info about it too, and go around shaming those who are spreading correct info.
There were more than 450 people working on the film, and all of it was done in Japan because there was no support from India. 😡
There are only two versions of Ramayana that have moved me, its this one and Ramanand Sagar's version. These two are so divine and full of devotion. Look at the subtle details like Hanumanji's expression in the song, the way he goes on his knees and bows to Maa Sita. If that isn't divine then what is..!!
Other versions have added so much masala. I second you at the @bold part. Ironically, the things that these group of people think make them "forward", have already been covered in our books. In fact certain stories of devi-devtas would leave said group in shock..!!
@red: recently I had an intense debate with a teenager. She was questioning everything and even after I gave her proof she was like how can a monkey do all this? How did a man with 4 faces began creation? The only thing I said after controlling my anger was "its sad that you haven't even read anything and are willing to argue with me...and its even sadder that you have never shown any interest to know the truth...and now that I am showing you evidence you still choose not to believe it." But she'll rave about US and UK like its her homeland. 🤓 I love the standard of living in those countries too but to not know anything about the place you were born is insane.
I have no one but the parents to blame for this. They cut their child away from Indian culture coz its "cool" and makes you "regressive". Now these parents are cribbing their child doesn't know anything about India or Hinduism. And I also blame the Education System for this situation.
I am in my 20s, I party, drink, have non veg, have dated and enjoyed Western culture. But the first thing in the morning after I am done getting ready is reading Hanuman Chalisa and chanting Gayatri Mantra with an Agarbatti in my hand.
I never forgot my roots, no matter what part of the world I was in. And the more I read about it, I realise we aren't any forward compared to our ancestors and we still have so much more to learn!
