I think it was more that Purvi got a lovely family children whom she built up relationship with by helping them when their father ignored them and helped them find acceptance in school home and saved them from troubles, scrapes and made their father the Mukhi take care of bond with his children and this was what initially made Mukhi look towards her the trouble she took despite being injured , her good and helpful nature her boldness to face any trouble made Mukhi love her.respect her.

This is why she feels grateful and she listens to Saki as she got from life which she otherwise would not have got love of Children and Mukhi
