Anokhi's love journey wasn't sudden. It grew slowly and steadily with time.

Destiny made them for each other.

Like we say, opposites attract. It happens to them too. N they've been drawn to each other through events that brought forward Shaurya's caring nature, sense of fairness in the ragging time, kidnapping time.

And he got to see a strong girl who is steadfast on her convictions and can love her own fiercely. N he actually feel comfortable with her. Its shocking for him, but still he fell hard for her.

Its intangible, its unexplainable, its just love. Theory doesn't really work when it comes to emotional connection.

Its there, all the while, and one day it dawns on you how deeply you're in it. When you sit back and recall everything, it was there. Subdued, hidden, unconcious or unknown. Its love.

I can't find words to explain. Those who understood, then we are on same planet. 😆

What they both share is so pure and perfect.. They are imperfect, their life is imperfect but the feelings they have for each other is perfect..

Even if something may be wrong under different circumstances, it is good enough for them because they aren't unhappy with the final result rather that is what they want..

As Anokhi said she is happy with her marriage.. It may have happened under worst possible circumstances but she is happy because she got married to the person she wanted..

Shaurya bday track- They were standing at opposite sides but she still went to talk to him.. Somewhere she knew he would listen to her..

Kapurthala track- After library fiasco, still he was her favourite person, the person whose opinion affected her so much that she was ready to leave everything she fought for.. She only needed a heartfelt sorry from him.. What he thought about her mattered to her..

Kidnapping track- When he was in danger, nothing mattered to her.. The humiliating words, the shame that her family was involved in Kidnapping, the dangerous criminals nothing.. She only cared about him..

She has progressed from expectation to attachment and love over time..

She had admired him since their first meet itself. Like you said, he is handsome, charming, gentlemanly and looks composed which are qualities a lot of girls like. I still remember her shiny eyes when the anchor of the awards ceremony was listing down Shaurya's accomplishments. She spoke to him so respectfully that day. This was first stage of love.

Alas! When he disrespected Aastha, he earned Anokhi's blind dislike as well. Even then she was not disrespectful to him. She was the first person to point out that he was hurt. He hurt others (e.g. Aastha, Shaan, Anokhi) because he was hurt and not because he was that type of a man. This means she thought about him a lot. Without thinking of him, without noticing his body language and behavior, there was no way she could say so. This was the second stage of love.

Then came the ragging track. I was all whistling and jumping when they hugged. I started admiring their chemistry from there. She learned another side of him. He may not like her, but he will never be unfair to her. The way he helped her, earned him more respect and admiration. This was the third stage of love.

When Aastha went missing and they got stuck in the riots, we saw Shaurya's protective nature and Anokhi's expectations from him for the first time. We only expect from the people we care about/love. Not only Shaurya, Anokhi too had started loving him then only.

The library scene obviously hurt her, but the effect ran deeper because it came from Shaurya. When she previously saw him helping her sister in Vineet's case and later saving her from goons, her mind painted the picture that he truly cares about women and respects them. (No doubt on that but he is superimpulsive and doesn't treat women as his equal) Such people exist everywhere and no woman would/should sacrifice her dreams, her priorities because a douchebag said something. When Anokhi didn't care when Anmol ragged her, why did she care so much when Shaurya said hurtful words. Both had authority, one was a director and the other was the son of a trustee. The answer is, she was falling in love with him. It was not as obvious as Shaurya's but doesn't mean it was there.

Ahir once asked her who is her favorite. She recalled Shaurya. I knew love has started/already has bloomed in her heart. It was more solidified by her lying about Babli di. IDK how it is in real life, but when TV leads fall in love, they will never directly confess that they were thinking about that particular person.

When he followed her all the way to Kapurthala, said sorry, shared a ride back to Chandigarh, she warmed up to him again. His words of wisdom, confession that he was there during riots track and apology created magic inside her. If she didn't love him, she won't agree this easily. (Side note: I was one of those people who didn't want her to forgive him easily) It didn't take time because she still had his initial impression printed in her mind. As said, first impression is the last. To recall, her first impression of him was Shaurya Sabherwal, with two degrees and many awards. And it is an easy misconception that educated people are feminists.

She was surprised, but not uncomfortable when she found they were almost hugging each other inside the car at night. There started the physical intimacy, a part of love.

Finally, when Reema pushed her thoughts in that direction, she considered being in love with him for the first time. Girls like the idea of being loved by someone. And when it is someone you already admire, it's not that hard. So she fell. The cute moments of staring each other chupke chupke, the flower picking scene, hostel scenes and pre-holi jitters solidified her feelings. I wish we got her monologues and simple scenes where she is thinking about him a long time ago, but better late than never.

Her love is filled with innocence (what else do you expect from a girl falling in love for the first time) But at the same time, it's filled with passion. Passion that she followed him all the way to Goa, couldn't hate him when ShaSha caused her heartbreak twice, couldn't forget him when everyone was busy partying post Ahir saved them from Vineet.

And now she may not have liked the way they got married, but on the inside she is liking the idea of being married to him (something she secretly wanted from holi track)

I may have changed a lot of things mentioned above if I was writing the show. At a first glance, Anokhi's love seemed to have come from nowhere (blame lack of monologues) But if we connect the whole picture, she was already in love but having not experienced it, she couldn't be so sure about it.

Would love to know what you would have changed.

First and foremost, I would have added monologues where she is thinking about him and just him. Mainly after ragging and riots track. I would also like to slow down the realization of love phase. Reema pushing her was fine, but they needed much more time before she readily accepted she was in love. Maybe they could spend time, help each other during the fest and slowly she confesses to herself that she is in love. Post confession from both sides, I wanted a dating track. Shaadi could wait.

Unfortunately, they had to change a lot of pre-planned things for the sake of lockdown and TRPs. Anyways, I appreciate the creative team, set members and actors for bringing us entertainment in such hard times.

What do you guys think about Anokhi's transition of love for Shaurya? According to you, how and when did she fell in love, that too so deeply? I have seen many claiming her realization to be a rushed one, a sudden one being influenced by Reema's push. I think lack of monologues from her side might be a reason for thinking as such.

To phir chalo, let's reminisce all the beautiful ShaKhi moments and try to build Anokhi's monologue, let's locate a time when she first acted different with him and discover her journey of love!

My POV:

According to Anokhi, SS hated her initially but still helped her during ragging, helped Babli from Vineet after Valentine's day party. His conscience attracted her, the way he stood against his own sisters for truth was a big thing. He even came to clear the flower phekna, class se bahar rakhne wala misunderstanding after his bday party.

Again, he fought the goons for an unknown girl that was being kidnapped. The way he stood up against her rustication all of these charmed her.

Finally the bridge convo had hit her hard and she fell in love listening how he appreciated her talent and how he insisted her to do something for herself.

Later by Reema's push, she started to acknowledge how differently SS behaved with her. Just for a student, the director won't go 90 km, kidnap her and have a heart-to-heart conversation. Shaurya's antics were so cute and adorable that it will make any girl's heart flutter. She was only 20 and obviously not an exception.

Shaurya is handsome, charming, intelligent, composed and a very good person from inside. He could've exacted his disliking towards her by misusing his power and position. But he chose not to. Anokhi once asked him why he had thrown her out of the class, why did he dislike her. He clearly pointed out she was talking and that's why he did it, not for other reason. These little moments built up her perception towards him and she started to respect him for the person he is. But after the riot track, she was hurt because of his irresponsible behavior, his abandonment. After library conversation, she was totally shaken and broken. But the way he chased her, apologized for his wrongdoings despite being egoistic and made her reconsider her decision for herself, alotted her a seat in the hostel coupled with clearing of the riots MU, how could she possibly resist his charm?

The car scene from Kapurthala showed that how comfortable she was with him physically. She didn’t get awkward at all after waking up or hugging him seeing the imaginary animal. She even teased him multiple times. The hostel scene restated that comfort level she shares with him. The haq with which she started to dry his hair, took off his shirt and made him wear the cartoon tee, the way she took care of him without bothering much about herself, she was as attracted and emotionally involved as him from the very beginning.

Now u guys, pls participate and let me know what you think about it.

Love,

Partikshaa 🤗

Absolutely.. deep inside Anokhi had fallen for Shaurya long back.. otherwise it wouldn't have mattered to her what he thinks of her character.. she would just have continued in college.. but his words always had very deep impact on Anokhi.. same as Shaurya was always impacted by whatever Anokhi said .. it's just that after Reema pointed out to Anokhi and after Kanchan pointed out to Shaurya.. both of them started to realize their feelings for each other and then acknowledged the same❤️

Love this thread! Love all the responses! ❤️ It gives an insight of how each of us felt connected to the characters, in very similar yet distinctive ways. Thank you Pratiksha for making this.. 🤗🤗

I love Anokhi dearly. She is one of the few Indian fictional characters that has made me a fan girl for life 😍 Just like her silent courage and conviction, her love has also been silent yet powerful . Like you said, when you look back and reflect on her journey, it makes more sense on how she developed those feelings for Shaurya. Both of them are different, yet they are pieces of the same puzzle that fit perfectly! I am so excited to see her journey forward! To see her bloom and understand who she is ,along with Shaurya. ❤️

Hi Prats!
Thank you for making this wonderful post.
I am ready with my thesis. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bear with me, for I always have a lot to say. 🤣

Before talking about Anokhi’s journey of love, let me talk about Love itself. Or to be precise my idea of it.
Let’s first establish that everyone has there own idea about love, and we all love/show our love in the way we understand love the best.

The beauty of Love is that, it can happen to anyone at any time. Sometimes it takes years for someone to fall in love with a person they have known all their lives, sometimes it just takes a minute to fall in love with a stranger who touches something in your heart, and sometimes the love builds over an attraction and admiration and an emotional connect. Recognizing those feelings is another ball game all together. So I don’t feel that her realizations were rushed. Just that she was more layered in her expression of her feelings unlike Shaurya, whose restlessness we could see and know from his monologues.

I feel Anokhi’s journey into love falls in the third category i mentioned. The first time she saw Shaurya, her eyes were twinkling hearing his achievements and accomplishments. And added to that he was very charming and handsome. She was obviously not attracted to him then, but there was an admiration and intrigue. But, the next moment his disrespect towards Aastha made her see him in a different light. But I don’t think Shaurya or Anokhi ever hated each other even when they were at loggerheads.

And how can I forget the dard dialogue. Despite standing at opposing ends, she is the first and perhaps the only one who could see the pain in his eyes, masked by the anger and abrupt behavior. How could she have seen that pain, if she hadn’t looked closely and felt his vulnerability. How could she have even realized his hurt, if she hadn’t been deeply emotionally involved with him by then. His words and gestures always effected her, as hers effect him. She would always wonder why he supposedly hated her so much. Why did his hatred bother her? She knew all the other Sabarwals also looked down upon her, but only his hate mattered to her. She wasn’t in love with him then, but she was emotionally connected to him n did admire him as an educator and wanted his appreciation.

Then came the ragging track. That’s when the dynamics between them started changing. According to Anokhi, Shaurya hated her. But still he went against his family, his sisters, his board members to get her justice. She realized that no matter their personal equation, he will never let any injustice happen to her or anyone. That must have impacted her hugely and left a deep impression about Shaurya in her heart. I think that’s when she started falling for him. Also him protecting her n Babli from Vineet had to have made a huge impact in her heart. The first man in her life, who abhorred physical abuse on a woman to control her. The first man to respect a woman! The seeds of love were sown then.

Aastha missing and riot track brought them even more closer. She saw how he fought to protect her. She felt protected for the first time in life, coz it has never been an experience in her life, she has always had to fight for herself. But, before she could revel in that feeling of being so protected by someone, they got separated. And it hurt her immensely to know that he left her alone. It hurt her very badly, coz she had the expectation from him that he Vil never leave her in danger like that. That is when both of them started feeling deeply for each other and felt disappointed also with each other.

And then came the library track, Anokhi had just moved on from the riot happenings and was again in awe of him for saving her from the goons. But his words, destroyed her. Only because it came from him. Only because she couldn’t bare that, that’s what he thought of her. It would have never impacted her so badly had anyone else said that. Had anyone else said it, she would have complained and fought for justice like during ragging track. She wouldn’t have decided to leave. Her career and dreams behind. It is coz she had already started having deep feelings for him, and it was too much for her to take that the person she has started loving thought that about her. (She still hadn't realized that though)

And when he went to all that trouble to bring her back, apologize to her, and his truth of what happened during the riots track moved her. It bloomed the budding love in her heart. And when he encouraged her to not ever give up on her dreams for anyone and recognized her intellect and acknowledged that she was an asset to SIAC it sealed the deal for her. She started falling hard for him from then.

Also on the way back to Chandigarh, she was so comfortable with him. Even when they had slept literally in each other’s arms, she didn’t feel awkward in any way. I don’t know about others, I will speak for me. As a woman, I always have this internal radar. I can’t fall asleep so easily unless I trust the person I am with completely. She trusted him. N that’s why there was no awkwardness between them ever.

Especially when he barged into the hostel. If she didn’t have feelings for him, she would have kicked him out on his ass. Wouldn’t have spent the night taking care of him without worrying about her reputation. Wouldn’t have been so comfortable wiping his head and making him change. She wouldn’t have taken that right on him. She was by then deeply in love with him, as was he. Their pre holi, holi banters just intensified her feelings for him.

Reema and Kanchan definitely gave them both a push. But not into love. They already were in love. They both gave them a push to realize their feelings respectively. Coz otherwise the kind of people they are, they would not have realized so easily or would have been clueless about others feelings as well.

During the Goa accident and kidnapping track is when Anokhi fell completely, irrevocably and intensely in love with him. Till then she knew she was in love with him, but she didn’t know that she would love him for a lifetime. She faced all the humiliation for him and his love.

Many people had a problem when she went behind him to Goa. I am asking why not? If a man can go behind a girl whom he loves to clear their misunderstandings, why can’t a girl go behind the man for the sake of their love. And that’s how much she loves him.

This is my take on her journey into love with Shaurya.. So no, I never felt her realization to love was rushed. She may not have pondered it in so many words as Shaurya, but her actions definitely showed the effect he was having on her. She loves him as intensely and as passionately as he loves her. There is no doubt in that for me.

Phew!! That was a long one. Hope it wasn’t a snooze fest for anyone. 🙈🙈
