A different perspective on Ahaan (or me just being too optimistic)

This is probably one of the only shows I am watching now and I like to be optimistic in general just because I really love Ishqii's character so I really really hope Gul is not spoiling the show. The crap going on now is just soo frustrating and let's not even get started on Sonu.

Like I think after Mayank and Sarla Aunty and Daadi, I really just dislike Sonu. Grow a backbone woman! You can go out with your brother's best friend but you can't tell anyone about it! And you can see someone else get insulted but you won't stand up! Ugh it's women like her that just piss me off..

However my frustrations aside, maybe that's what the show is trying to show. Like how important is this sanskari image either way? Is it worth your silence, your backbone, your dignity?

Like the truth will come out one way or the other - then what?

On the other end, even though I wished Ahaan knew the whole truth about his friend now, I really think in terms of character development, he really hasn't reached the peak. Like if you remove the misunderstandings between Ahaan and Ishqii - then there is nothing left for them but to fall in love because they both know they have chemistry.

BUT is Ahaan really ready for a girl like Ishqii? Chemistry is one thing but love, that whole forever walla love is another and I really don't think Ahaan has gotten over his whole misogynistic mindset yet. Honestly, he doesn't deserve Ishqii and personally, I would not want him and ishqii together UNTIL his character redeems itself. Like I rather a person change on their own because of their own mistakes and realizations. I am HOPING that we see Ahaan go to the bottom of ruining his relationship with Ishqii and then when he realizes the truth - he goes through intense regret and actually emerges as an evolved character.

I did not watch today's episode because I couldn't fathom the crap but I read the update he thanks Sonu for not letting down the family!?!? He "hates" ishqii? I mean at the end of the day, no one should be forced to marry! Isn't it better to have your whole family suffer maybe two days of gossip than the girl suffer for the rest of her bloody life? Like putting all reasoning aside - I say this as common knowledge.

Here is hoping they really do make this show a little more logical since its been a while since I liked a female character like Ishqii. Also can we stop with her crying?

@bold someone on the forum said that he thinks ishki loves him and broke the marriage for him. So, he is trying to tell her that though she broke the marriage (you know its against his faltu sanskaars ), he won't ever love her but this AVM is so stupid why did have to use the word hate just because it is the opposite of love smh. Could have used another word like "dissapointed" anything but hate lol. He's gonna regret this and I hope he burns inside and goes to the bottom like you said.

So well written .. I don't have anything else to add but yeah at the end of the day everybody should have freedom of choice, especially in something so important as marriage. And better late than never.

I'm trying to see the light in AVM's reaction. From his perspective, he's coming with this guilt of not repeating his mothers mistakes. Didn't she leave them for another guy? (As in that is what they believe). There's nothing worse for AVM than to become a "home wrecker" based on his own experience in his family, and him thinking that this is all for love and Ishki did it for him makes him hate love and hate the feeling of following his mothers mistakes and that Mayank's family is destroyed because of him (indirectly). Mayank is his best friend since childhood and he values him like family, without knowing what Mayank's intentions are. I think it was wrong of him to say the hate thing but it was also in the heat of the moment, not that it makes it acceptable, but just giving him the benefit of the doubt a little. Now the precap and seeking revenge, that's silly and I have no explanation for that. :(

Yes this angle makes sense as well but I wish he could think a little more than @bold. He has seen Ishqi and everything she does for others, the sacrifices she makes. He knows she is a good person and far from selfish. But he is just stuck on the fact that she likes him and I think that is because he can't get over it and wants it to be true haha.

Also I wrote the below on someone else's post but this is an other reason why he should think beyond him being a homebreaker.

Ahaan also knows Mayank only helps Ishqi when he tells him to do so. Ahaan has also seen Mayank insult her in front of everyone for her weight. True, ugh I'm really trying to give his character the benefit of the doubt, but can't disagree to all of the above! Wuah! I wish they showed more scenes of him reminiscing of everything that's happened between him and her thus far, like all the events where he she had the yellow chunri on her head, the mendhi fall and his name on her hand, and I wish he could re-collect everything he said while drunk @ holi!!! And realize...that he loves Her a lot!! And where is that feeling he gets when something is wrong? what happened to that feeling now? :(

I agree wid everything you hv written. I didn't watch the episode either bcz it's too disheartening to see Ishqi taking the blame for someone landing up in a coma. Also after everything she has done for them , she is still not given a chance and Sonu being able to live wid herself seeing Ishqi like dt is not something I can take.

Though I don't hate Ahan as such till now. Ahaan has always been like dt only. Yes he has feelings for Ishqi but not strong enough to overcome years and years of misogynistic thoughts fed to him since his childhood. Someone like him doesn't just change just bcz he has felt love for the first time.....like he said he would always choose his family over any kind of love. Dts always been his idealogy. And for that to change he needs realisation happening on his own.

At this point I do want him to go ahead wid the marriage wid Rhea. Frankly he doesn't deserve Ishqi ryt now. Let me go ahead wid the marriage and let him realise where he is wrong.

But from what I can predict , he will definitely see Ishqi in his wedding preparations.....working as a waiter it seems🤔 and he will again get all those feelings back. I don't want dt. I want him to suffer a bit....to realise how empty his life is widout Ishqi.

I too love Ishqi's character so much. Such a well written character she is.

Ahaan has already fallen for her and deeply cares about her but he did not pursue ishqi coz it would ruin his relationship with his best friend who is like his family.. that's why he was telling himself he cant think about that girl and be like his mom..

We know how bad of a person Mayank is but no one knows that truth and doesn't even have clue about it.. leaving groom on wedding altar and causing his dad heart attack is not considered good even in advanced society .indirectly Ishqi made Ahaan part of it..because he thinks she did it for him...she did not even give a reason to anyone..to me his actions perfectly justifiable until now even saying I hate you ( please don't bash me for this:))

dont want to say anything about next week's precap.. lets see what happens for him to say he wants to destroy her life...with any reason I also feel thats bit too much.. Story wise he has to do something extremely wrong to question his beliefs and come out of them and for his character development

🤗. So true.Drama and MU nahi hogi to progress kaise hogi.

But the way Ahaan is spitting those dialogues - Ishqaan ka relationship - 2 kadam aage badha to 3 kadam peechey Chala Gaya.

I still have hope with the track the show is going except for :

- Ahaan's dialogues today and in precap.

- Ishqi being a waiter in Ahaan's engagement 🤷🏼‍♀️

- Too many blames at once. Let our FL breathe 🥺

And yes Ishqi is love. Her confrontation with Mayank needs standing ovation. 👏👏
