I think the simplicity has been her core, as other members have mentioned. But, still, she looked nice. I mean, there are dances with just simple kurtis & it still looks beautiful. Imlie's expression & dedication was nice & the pink flower on her drape was added a nice touch.

we could enjoy those flowers in her dress only if there is close up shots. Here shots are from long distance and it look dull. They need to give her more attractive colors. Blue also looks good on her. Pink red peach maroon with simple designs and nice cuts with small cap sleeve will look good on her. Even sleevless halter necks and backless. We won't mind😆🤣.

Konkana sen , madhuri movie I guess

UHH It is CLASSICAL she is doing it is all about footwork her knees work. It is amazing and they need to show that hence the suits and it works.. floral superficial cheezon ki zaroorat unko hoti hai who can't dance and need to hide things.. it is perfect as it is given the dance form she is performing she has ghungroo on too.. has anyone seen anyone doing bhartantyam or Kathak in lehnga pUHLEEZ.. not everything is about the superficial aspect.. am glad they are sticking to and showing pure talent and not random cliche nonsense and showing a dance too purely based on ST ka talent and not using gimmicks... also sticking to technicalities of the artwork.. they have shown nonstop it is about the classical form I can't pinpoi t which branch of it but aparna also teaching her the footwork specifically can't be lehnga not doing dandiya

In this case, she danced it out & her smile gave it all. I mean, the creatives must've planned it according/adjustments so will give them props for making this scene with smile. There is leverage in terms of costumes when performing so wouldn't necessarily restrict to flowing dresses. Just depends on what the dancer wants in terms of conceptualizatiob.

I believe it is from Aja Nachle & songs from that movie especially Aja Nachle are always pure fire to listen & dance on.

think you had mentiond that you had learnt the dance form too - Kathak right?

What Apu was teaching her was kathak dance form and that is performed in churidhar n long ajrakh or kurta usually form fitting with a fill skirt when twirling around.. do not know the right name.

Keeping in line with the story n Imlie, I liked the fact they stuck to a salwar. The color could have been a pop of color but maybe the did not want the focus away from ST here, who has us spellbound with her smile n grace. ❤️
