He has been shown desperate from beginning.. I don't think it's character assassination.. it's the way guys think..

He knows Anokhi loves SS.. but he also knows to they r not together and Nikki wants to move on.. he is being practical ( waise bhi Nikki ke aage pich6e karne ke alawa koi kaam to hai nahin uske pass😂😂) and I guess will take a chance by proposing her. I guess, this is how generally guys r.. he likes her that's imp for him.. and he would think if Anokhi marries him.. gradually she will also start liking him.

To me his character is poorly written for other reasons:

1. He needs to be shown little more professional.. ACP post ka name kharab kar raha hai.. he is literally nikkama 😡🤦

2. At times.. his dialogues make no sense.. kuch bhi bakwaas karta hai🤦
