Israel has systematically committed multitudes of horrific atrocities against Palestine for over decades now. You don't need to be Palestinian or Muslim to call Israel out. Bernie Sanders one of the most prominent Jewish politicians has condemned Israel. There are a large number of Jews around the world who do support Palestine. It is not unrealistic to expect Gal Gadot to do the humanitarian thing.
That being said when you are born and brought up in a country, it becomes more difficult. Also compounding the issue is that IDF is not a volunteer army. Service in the IDF is mandatory for every Israeli irrespective of gender. Military service does tend to harden you and color your perceptions. Armed force members tend to be more defensive of their army's atrocities than lay citizens anywhere in the world. Considering that almost every Israeli is made to serve, the nation as a whole tends to be more apologist.
Also, Gal Gadot's whataboutery any different from some of our celebrities who remain silent and play both sides. If she speaks up against Israel, she risks backlash in her homeland. With family ties in Israel, including her own innocent kids, she probably doesn't want to stoke too much tension. And its easier said than done to leave the country you are born in. If she speaks up against Palestine, she will definitely be canceled. She will no longer be welcome in Hollywood or get roles, ruining her career. So I don't think she will ever take stand nor will we ever know what she truly stands for.
I don't think she will be truly canceled either. It's one thing to be mad at a person for being soft and playing both sides. But punishing someone for not explicitly doing something wrong is also not fair and won't happen long term.
