It was unnecessary I believe. There were already so many villains. At least Ridz k team mein koi ek toh tha... dadi and sia. Not in team entirely they were still Vansh loyals but atleast cared for her.

Actually TV dadi or any other side character had no Depth in them they were just show pieces to an extent .
