Progression not in their relationship , in how things would have happened even in reality. I am talking in comparison to Tamil version which went about in a different route. They kept it very realistic here

But the "Ho Majhi Aai" phrase took my 💓. Both Kamal sir and now Virat calls Sai that. You can feel the extreme protectiveness Sai had for both and the extreme adoration by both of them for Sai ❤️.

Virat sees Sai openly show her love for aai and tai and is yearning for the same love.

Infact he is getting Sai's attention and love in form of zimmedari.

He has given so many jalebis and despite knowing what Sai thinks (even today she was like me-Mohit is not same as Pakhi-Virat), he directly wants Sai to accept his new dialgoue without clearing anything.

Poor girl is in different universe, she doesn't even think that Virat would be capable of thinking about loving her.
