yeh they are not really british asian films just bollywood films with english actors in them..bend it like beckhams good british asian one 😛

Well I was about to say films like

Bride and Prejudice
The Namesake
Water
Provoked
Bend it like Bekham

But unfortunately apart from Lagaan and Kisna I don't find any film of such type!!😊

kranti is old but a really good one and films like legend of bhagat singh based around that era and pinjar as well though thse are newer

If it's patriotic films your after:

1) Pinjar
2) Gadar
3) 1942 a love story
4) There are a few 'Bhagat Singh' films
5) Purab aur Paschim
6) Mangal Pandey: The Rising
7) Gandhi
8) Rang de Basanti

Manoj Kumar did alot of patriotic films, so you could look into some of his work.
