Yes that crying was OTT. But Malhar giving in to Gautama regarding Ahilyas education was even more surprising. Gautama implying that husband wife bonding would be there only when Ahilya remains uneducated as per Khanderaos wish was disgusting. Better to be educated and not bond with Khanderao under that condition. Mother son pair are disgusting. Question now why did not Malhar educate Gautama when he had the power. Why should he wait for her to have the drive and passion? Yes Ahilya can ask God this question why her father did not teach her to read and write why this thought did not come to her in her parents house that is what she can ask God and cry.
