Why was the 150 limit put in the first place? I can understand 500 or 1,000 but 150 just looks like an odd random number, especially when threads can go beyond it with no problem whatsoever.

A limitation of the earlier forum software?

Thanks- Bizarre reason, and IMO one that probably really doesn't really matter today given caching plugins, CDN's, superfast NVME drives and all other technological advancements.
