VPN is obviously one in case a DNS switch to Google or Open doesn't work.
Another option is to use an online image editor- in my case here Ipiccy, and copy the URL into it (open from web image option). Their servers are American, so it would process the image, and I'd be able to see it because the image then loads from Ipiccy, which is obviously not banned.

I just long pressed and clicked on preview image and I could see it.
