Hello lovely people!!

After such a dhamakedar episode, I was dying to pen down my love for Shaurya and Anokhi as individuals and as a couple. This is an appreciation post for my babies who are both heartbroken and devastated.

The start of the episode was heart wrenching and complete destruction of Anokhi's expectations from a birthday surprise. Itni safai se jhut bolne ke liye DeviGun ke muh mei keede padenge 👍🏼

She waited.

She looked at him and waited for him to speak up against these lies.

Anokhi knew that Shaurya loves her, she did not distrust him but hoped that he would deny all this because today was clearly supposed to be their day. Her birthday was suppose to be special for both of them. Right until the moment she walked out, she waited for him to say SOMETHING for THEM.

They were shattered.

Just look at the tears pooling in his eyes already! Shaurya knew they were rapidly going downhill. He knew that she was going away not just physically, but also emotionally.

Her birthday was not just about saying "I Love You, Anokhi."

It was about starting that new life she breathed into his being.

When she left the venue like that, he knew things were ruined. He could not speak up in front of the crowd. Maybe because it would have humiliated his Badi Maa- the woman who raised him or maybe because he could not grasp the entire situation himself. I am looking forward to see what made him stop.

But he was definitely not confused about anything.

Let's talk.

"Sab ke samne... Itna bada faisla le liya aapne."

This pretty much says a lot about the reason he kept quiet.

He was quiet for whatever reasons he had, but does not mean he had nothing to say! In fact he had a lot to say.

"Kya mera haqq nahi banta?"

"Yeh decision bhi mera haqq hai, Badi Maa."

Kudos to SAAKK for giving us a strong and determined ML who knows what is right and what is wrong. Shaurya is aware of his mistakes and he is also aware of the mistakes made by others around him. This was not his anger speaking at all. These were the questions inside his head and he was not hesitant to ask. He knew he has been wronged.

The Burden.

"Ek baar mujhse pucha nahi! Meri permission nahi li! Mera consent nahi liya, kuch nahi liya! Bas..."

This had anger and frustration. And he had full intention to go off on Devi Sabherwal regardless of what her intention of this sudden engagement was.

"Tab bhi nahi pucha tha jab tumhari Maa ek chaar saal ke bacche ko chod kar gayi, aur maine tumhe apni god mei le liya tha"

Devi Sabherwal played her ace against Shaurya by reminding him of her "ehsaan" but today even that did not earn her any brownie points.

It did mellow him down a little though! He was again reminded of the burden she took in her arms after his mother left him and it burdened his shoulders with modesty that he should not forget the great deeds of Mrs. Devi Sabherwal.

The one who is suffering.

"Don't make it about yourself!

Yeh aapke baare mei nahi hai, Yeh mere baare mei hai!

Meri Zindagi hai!"

This was the best line of the entire episode! And I dare you to disagree 😈

He cried for two reasons:

1. Anokhi was heart broken and so was he.

2. Badi Maa had again tried to manipulate him by trying to strong arm him.

Until today, I always thought that Shaurya will never openly talk about Devi's emotional blackmail every time she wanted him to do something on her command. Even when I believed that he will fight for Anokhi and their love, I thought it would be in a certain manner and keeping Rishto ki Maryada in mind (which btw would mostly come from the burden of Ehsaan).

But, Shaurya proved me wrong!

The True Love.

"Shaurya, she loves you!"

Devi Sabherwal knew what she was doing all these years. She consciously made sure Shaurya knew that he was unloved and he gets left behind. She tried to coax him that this is his chance at true love. And she played that trick right where it was needed but alas, he didn't care that there was a certain Shagun Kapoor who loves him.

The one he loves and the one who loves him back is all he needs, rest can just go wherever the hell they want. This is beginning of the end for Devi, guys!! Lekin yeh aurat itni jaldi sudhregi nahi

The Selfish.

"I don't love her! Mai kisi aur se pyaar karta hu!"

He is extremely selfish about Anokhi and he has no intention on compromising with situations when it comes to her. Shaurya does not care about who is trying to chain him down from chasing her.

This is the first person he wants ONLY for himself, and he is ready to fight tooth and nail for her, not caring who he has to fight against. These feelings are new but very intense, real, raw... And he is not afraid of them.

He knows what happened in the party was a big hit to their budding relationship.

The silent heartbreak.

Anokhi is acting like its not really painful, but its actually breaking her part from the inside.

Anokhi has handled this situation like a mature person, seeing reasons that Sabherwals and Shagun showed her. Anokhi is heartbroken not because she feels cheated, but because she was hoping he would stand for them. The fear, the insecurities and the dilemma is real! Shaurya and Anokhi are in the same boat, and if they fight... They have to fight for them. Not just for her.

THEIR LOVE.

Shaurya did not address her insecurities sensitively on the date night, and today just piled some more on the existing heap.

Anokhi was not wrong when she refused to listen. She is deeply hurt, humiliated and devastated but she did not shed a tear. She held her composure and tried her best to deal with the situation wisely. The only person she responded to was Shaurya's voice outside the room. Her words had no accusation or mistrust. Instead, she was trying to tell him to see the facts.

No relationship involves only one single person. If it is focused on only one person all the time, the relationship is most likely to fall apart quickly. So, efforts have to be made by both Shaurya and Anokhi. She is not vengeful that Shaurya was silent but very understanding that its a difficult situation and he could not stand up for them.

One was out there venting disappointment,

The other chose to cry on the inside in silence.

Its true that words can be hurtful,

But silence can be damaging as well.

Shaurya was silent at the party, Anokhi was in lobby.

Yes, Anokhi is really broken and all those beautiful dreams she was weaving have uncoiled today. But Shaurya too has lost his entire world that he was building bit by bit, hoping that she will walk into that world and complete it for him.

There are two sides of a coin, Shaurya and Anokhi are both right on their own sides and they need more clarity of the situation before they start cleaning the mess around them. Anokhi and Shaurya are really opposite poles who are attracted towards each other. They can try to resist it, but their nature are will bring them together.

Right now, the disappointment of the ruined day and pain is greater than "how do we fix this?"

A big cheers to the entire team, writers and specially KV and Debattma for delivering this power pack episode because I was in tears and my heart felt as broken as ShaKhi's did. Tum log ke liye bhi accha yahi hoga ki you leave some nice comments behind kyu ki you have no idea how many times I had to watch the episode to take screen shots 😭

There was no dhoom-tanana and OTT drama. Just simple and raw heartbreak without the dramatics. And I really want to know WTF was in that jewelry box

As usual, KV ki eyes had all my attention but today even Deba did a outstanding job with that calm and practical outburst without the typical cheat-beating breakup drama (Oh, Thank GOD!!!)

Guys, very honestly, we are blessed to have leads like Debattma Saha and Karanvir Sharma who pumped life to such dynamic story and such intense feelings for two absolutely well defined, magnificent characters that it seems so so so real and relatable!

The episode, the acting, the expressions and the entire feel was so marvelous that I am feeling blessed to write an entire post on it!!

Today's episode deserves threads and threads of discussions.

Fiction taught me that there's beauty in love, but there's some kind of beauty in heartbreak as well. Because after that, you learn to be brave, you learn from your mistakes and you move on.

I've seen people questioning Anokhi's lack of trust in Shaurya. I just wanna say, she waited and waited till the end, but he didn't-couldn't say anything. I didn't see her trust waver, but yes, she was disappointed in him.

I've also seen people questioning Shaurya's silence. But, please remember the kind of power Devi holds over him. He could not be disrespectful to her, plus, he was too taken aback - by the very strong Shagun to whom he clearly said that he loves someone else, by the mother figure who didn't know his heart at all.

He just wanted to be happy, and for the first time, he was going to take a step in that and then Badi shook the ground under him, how was he supposed to react?

If there's something that I appreciate about Shaurya, its his clarity. As someone told me in a discussion, in the world of I-dont-know-what-im-doing ITV MLs, Shaurya shines. Yes, he may bend temporarily, but his clarity, his understanding of his emotions won't let him do too much damage.

Sharing some other pointers that I shared on twitter:

-Today’s episode is a kaleidoscope of emotions - Pride, Delusion, Narcissism, Betrayal, Care, Poise and Agony - matched in equal measure with amazing acting.

Together, the cvs and actors painted a breathtaking canvas of love and heartbreak.

-While Badi ma was deriving some sadistic pleasure in humiliating Anokhi, she took everything in her stride, stood strong and smiled while her heart was pierced. That’s her strength.

She can build a fortress to protect herself (and him, later) in a second.

-Shagun’s relationship is as artificial as the flower that Anokhi gifted her. It’s an instant gratification that can be showed off, but it won’t ever bloom for her.

-Her castle of illusion, built on their ruins will crumble soon. What she does not realise is that, along with the wrath of a man in love, she will also be opposing her own "curse".

She'll pay for selling her soul to the devil.

-The way Devi wanted Shaurya to be accountable for the emotions she invested in him, is symbolic of her self centredness. I wonder how many times has he sacrificed his happiness to prove his love?

Had she an once of love for him, she'd have eased the fissures of the past, instead in his fears, she found her gain.

Never forgetting to remind him of his abandonment, of the ehsaans, of his debt towards her - she has all but contributed to his trauma.

-Shaurya is like that handful of sand, the more Devi tightens her hold, the more he'll trickle through her fingers and merge with those who he belongs to. The more she suffocates him, the more he'll want to be liberated.

-Kind reminder to Devi and Shagun,

You've won the battle, not the war.

They created this storm, right. Little did they know that not all storms brings havoc, some strengthen you and teaches you resilience.

This really was the best moment of the episode! Never have I ever seen an ML see right through the manipulations of their family and call them out! And this is one among the many things that makes Shaurya Sabarwal stand out!

This is an episode where neither of them can be called wrong, yes Shaurya could have spoken up and stood up for Anokhi especially because he has always been someone who values clarity but the way the makers have executed this scene without making it look like character inconsistency was brilliant, we all have moments where we are taken aback, where our mind goes numb trying to process what is happening? It took me a while to get over his silence but I believe he himself gave the answer while revealing to badi maa just what she had cost him with her actions!

"This was supposed to be a special day! I had so many plans! This is the happiest I had ever been but you couldn't see/understand it"

This moment was a reminder that it wasn't just Anokhi's special day, it was Shaurya's too! It wasn't just Anokhi's heart that broke today but Shaurya's too!

And yes Anokhi is absolutely right in calling him out on his silence because she trusts that he loves her I don't think she doubts that anymore but her trust in his ability to stand for her! For them! Has definitely wavered and it is his responsibility to earn it back because he knows that her insecurities and reservations aren't without ground his family just proved it.

"Aapka sach aur meri jagah"

Initially I thought the sach was that he couldn't stand for her and that is what it probably is about but I also can't help but wonder if she is talking about his love for her when she says "aapka sach" because those were his words to her on the date night:

"mei sirf tumse pyaar karta hun aur yahi mera sach hai"

The truth that made her follow him to Goa!

Was she trying to tell him that your truth doesn't change my position in your life?

And yes Anokhi is the only person Shaurya has ever wanted for himself and he will never stop fighting for them no matter who he has to face, because she is his magnetic north and he will always find himself turning towards her! She is the one that provides him with a sense of belonging and keeps him tethered. His home.

"Nazdeek raha karo varna mein control nahi kar paatha hoon" (sorry I don't remember the exact line)

His sense of belonging to her is so strong that he feels so lost the minute she moves away! Which is why her opinion of him matters to him the most she is the one who saw through his pain and acknowledged it even as a stranger or a mere student and that I think is the moment Shaurya Sabarwal's journey to the ground started!

"Beech hawa mein rehne wale zameen pe ek din aayega"

Oh God Akshu, u penned everything so beautifully.. I felt like watching the episode again and crying..

The pain in their eyes, the hope and the disappointment, the frustration, the helplessness, I could see today..

Best was Shaurya's part.. I was still wondering till what length Shaurya was right in keeping mum infront of audience.. But the man knows.. He knows what others have done for him and is indebted due to that.. But that isn't and won't stop him from fighting back once they are alone or he gets time to respond..

BM overplayed her hand when she thought she would break them with what she did today.. But she lost.. Anokhi didn't break, even though she was breaking inside, others didn't hear a sound.. Shaurya didn't mellow down.. He gave it back, hard and fast once the opportunity presented itself.. The anger, frustration piled up inside came out at once and not even Devi's tactics to play at his insecurities could save her from the epic downfall..

Beautiful write-up...awesome episode...wow just wow...so proud of Shaurya for giving it to his badima albeit privately but that's who he is...and Anokhi wow she was so dignified in her heartbreak...poor dears...this is going to be one helluva ride💖

This post, every comment on this post, n many other posts describing today’s episode. Shaurya and Anokhi’s angst n pain is so beautifully written.

All of you have such a beautiful way with words. I don’t know what to add more except the pain I felt while Anokhi held on to her dignity , despite her heart break n humiliation, while Shaurya’s eyes conveyed his inner turmoil n devastation was immeasurable.

But I felt so proud of both of them, Anokhi for keeping her dignity, for confronting him in clear terms about his silence without any ott drama, and for having the courage to let him go.

And Shaurya for standing up for himself, for his love, for his Haq. I never thought there would come a day on ITV when a lead would stand up for himself against emotional manipulation and burdening. But the way he stood up to the one woman who has manipulated him for 25 years was definitely a treat to watch. Coz this is not norm for ITV.

I mentioned this before as well. We have a wonderful cast. The leads are killing it. N supporting actors are no less. N the one playing Devi, she is a veteran. That’s why she eludes that vampiness so easily on screen n makes us loathe her.

The only weak link for me personally is the actor playing Shagun. As it is I feel a complete disconnect from the previous Shagun, not just is the actor different, this Shagun seems to have forgotten common sense n self respect as well.

Anyway keeping that aside. Wonderful episode. N so beautifully penned down by all of you. Special mention to KV n Deba. They were both devastating in enacting Shakhi’s emotions.

Writing a long post because I know this thread is my safe haven and I would not be judged for whatever I write here. First things first. I never thought any ITV show would help me get over a dark phase in life. What I couldn’t do in 2 years, this show did in a matter of 2 months. This show is pure magic. These two, Shaurya and Anokhi are true magic. Initially I connected to Anokhi at a very different level, especially because of that ragging scene but then I don’t know I started to fall for both of them. These two makes me feel the emotions as if they are my own. I really appreciate the beautiful work that the cast and crew does to bring this show to us. I often say they keep things real as much as possible because I feel so many of us connect to it and feel the emotions what ShaKhi or anyone else feels in the show. That’s the beauty of this show.

I felt extremely bad for Shaurya, no matter what. His pain was unbearable even more so because he didn’t have anyone by his side. Everyone was against him. Everyone felt he broke their trust. But what about this guy. Did anyone even for once care for him?😭

I understand Anokhi was in pain and heartbroken but she still had people by her side but Shaurya?🥺The moment pain becomes anger, the mind stops and you end up doing anything and everything to ease out and stop yourself from feeling it. That’s what Shaurya is gonna do.

The pain in his eyes was speaking volumes. Especially when BM was manipulating him, his blood shot eyes weren’t something I could ignore. At that time I felt he wanted to cry out very loud, shout and do anything and everything but just turn back time and pause it to the good moments he had before everything came downhill.

Past surely plays a vital role in our present behaviour. He has a lot of bottling up done inside him since childhood. He isn’t what he pretends to be. He’s broken and Anokhi had become his cure. She was unknowingly healing him. Also, had he let himself feel the pain and had Shaan supported him instead of sinking in his own misery, this Shaurya Sabherwal wouldn’t have happened.

He is indebted to the 25 years Badi Maa spent to nurture him. That’s why he never wants to question and hurt her but BM bringing this up always is very annoying like alright you did things for him but why the hell do tou keep mentioning it time and again. Just so that you could make him realise what an ehsaan and sacrifice you did on Shaurya? No mother ever tells the child or makes them realise what they did for us. The love is unconditional but with BM it’s different.🤢

I loved how Shaurya still respected and controlled his anger but I couldn’t bear the pain his eyes depicted. It was too much.

Devi’s been trapped badly in her own game. Shaurya is very ardent about his stance. He won’t let anyone come in between and play their cards and pull him away from Anokhi. His entire existence is Anokhi and he’d go crazy and not spare anyone. Also, ShaStha are the additional support to him in this time. They’ll make sure history doesn’t repeat and Shaurya suffers because of BM and her controlling games.

Kudos to KV for portraying the emotions so well.👏❤️

Coming to Anokhi, since I didn’t really say much about her but I swear this girl is super strong. Stronger than I even imagined. She cried silently and didn’t shed a single tear and kept a strong stance and self on display. It takes a lot of courage to do what she did. But her eyes, those eyes. They were shouting in pain. She wanted to cry so loud just like Shaurya. This was the first time she fell in love. She didn’t even get to experience it and even before confessing her feelings, her heart is broken into a million pieces which are too difficult to be put back together. Her entire world came crashing down. My heart went out to Anokhi because I can completely understand how it feels to lose your first love and I completely felt her pain. Anokhi didn’t lose her trust on Shaurya. She rather felt hurt because Shaurya didn’t take a stand and was dumbfounded. For the first time, she felt a man love her truly and she surely had the right to be hurt. She’s a human too. Pain of heartbreak is inevitable. She was indirectly insulted by BM. She was forced to do things just so that BM could derive sadistic pleasure from it but this girl pulled off the entire thing so effortlessly without showing the world that she was breaking on the inside. People like BM do not deserve and inch of respect and she’s surely gonna face the music sooner or later.

The amount of respect I have for Deba has increased manyfold. She was flawless today. She literally deserves all the appreciation in the world💓✨

P.S. Appreciating the team for choosing such an amazing song for the scene today. Made the pain increase tenfolds. Also, I’m really up to see the true meaning of the lines
