Now imagine doing this for twenty five years without your parents by your side. Add in manipulation, lies and constant reminder of the esaan people did for you. This is what I would define Shaurya's state is. If Shaurya grew up in such a way then he spent more than half his life trying to please his BM n BP. He has to be obedient to them, trying not to disappoint them not only because he feels indebted to them but also because they are not his parents where he can be himself. They are not Shaan and Astha to whom he can be himself and express himself . To throw a tantrum, be stubborn, denying his family's words, rebelling against them etc, now this is something Shaurya Sabherwal didn't do until Anokhi came. Even if he was disappointed with BM or BP he wouldn't show it or make it a big issue with them (until Anokhi came, ofcourse). Like Kanchan said in today's episode where Yash had to keep his image clean, similarly Shaurya also has to keep up with his image of being the perfect boy of Devi Sabherwal.

Remember when Shaurya told Devi why do I have to convince you again and again (something like that when BM runs behind him) This clearly shows that he is aware of what's happening around him but he had to do because he feels indebted. Like Astha said, Shaurya is not a 4 year kid anymore. Yes, he is vulnerable when his trust and abandonment issues surfaces but Shaurya Sabherwal never blindly trust anyone, not even Devi. Like you said he's bad at expressing it or something is holding him back from expressing it (Maybe what BM N BP did for him) Shaurya is emotionally strong although he's broken deep down. May be he is unconsciously aware but his conscious is not letting him to react on it. What do you say?

I think you have put it very clearly! It is true...

The fact that BM and BP always make him feel that he owes to feel thankful and grateful always creates a barrier that they did a huge favor on him and he should never forget that greatness and when someone does that, it creates a distance bcz we know that people who love us and are our own people won't make it a favor.

True... Astha and Shaan did not carry out their own duties but Devi had no right to make Shaurya her slave under the pretext of being a mother. If you have observed, you will see that he does not hold back in front of Aastha and Shaan. He wants to be angry, insolent and petty... He will be! That is a kind of haqq he gives them despite the fact that they disappointed him as parents. Also makes me go 'awwwwww' that he can be the same with Anokhi. He is raw and nervous, silly and goofy in front of her.

But with BM and BP he holds composure, minds his tone and behaves like the mature one. Just like Yash.

And as I said... Shaurya might not be able to express very well but he is emotionally alert and no one can take him for a ride when it comes to matters of heart. He is not the one who gets cheated, neither does he cheat anyone.

I think there is no unconscious behavior here! He knows what is happening around him and he knows how to deal with it or he would not have spoken up at all. I think the reason he keeps quiet is totally bcz he is indebt to them. No matter what... Shaurya had everything (materialistic) he wanted. And irrespective of what emotional damage Devi contributed to, I cannot deny she did raise him to be a fine man.
