Titir/Babli

Hi guys, it's my second thread on this forum today. I wanted to talk about Babli especially since she has shown so much concern for her little Nikki after Nikki chased Shaurya to Goa. Babli so far, has been the most difficult character for me to understand. She wants to protect Anokhi because she is not sure of Shaurya's intentions towards Anokhi, and also because she fears such people who have money, power and status in the society. Shaurya is indeed a powerful figure (He is the director of one of the most prestigious institutions in India. Also, he'll be an eligible candidate for Rajya Sabha membership) Hence, I understand Babli that Shaurya might play with Anokhi's fragile heart and use her, and later dump her (I mean that's what Babli might have thought at some point 😂).

All this is admirable! But remember the time, when Papa Ji was forcefully getting Anokhi married to that 10th fail guy (I forgot his name)? At that time, I didn't see that fierce and protective Babli raise a voice against papa ji who isn't even anything when it comes to Shaurya Sabherwal in power and status. She was fine and compromising in letting Anokhi settle down with that cheap guy from Canada, even if it meant to be maritally assaulted in the future for children or dowry. Even if it meant that Anokhi sacrifice her studies entirely for marriage, just like her. Babli was silent! The moment where Anokhi wanted her support the most.

P.S - You'll argue that later she helps Anokhi escape Kapurthala to Chandigarh with DJ Vicky's help. But that doesn't mean that one should be overlooking this incident. What if there was no Vicky present in Dolly's marriage who later helped Anokhi escape her wedding? Would Babli be fine with Anokhi compromising everything?

If anybody has watched Mohor, I'd like to know how Titir is in comparison to Babli. Did a similar thing happen in Mohor too? If not, then is Titir better than Babli?

Initially when Anokhi's marriage got fixed with that Canadian guy, that family was supposed to be good family who will let Anokhi study in Canada. But as soon as she got to know about the real intentions of that guy, SHE made the plan for Anokhi's escape. It was only the luck that Vicky was present, so she took his help. If hewould not have been there, she would have made some other plan.

Babli was always protective of Anokhi, ALWAYS. Even in the situation when she was getting abused by her husband, she was concerned about her sister. So I don't think her protectiveness changes with circumstances.

As far as what I have seen about Babli, she might be meek in her own life.. But has always been very supportive and protective about Anokhi...

I wasn't sure about the whole Canada's story... I started watching this show during Ragging track... But to be honest, even in that track I had seen Babli panicking and screaming out at SIAC when those guards didn't allow her in...! She landed at Saberwal mansion to request for support... And has definitely crossed alot to ensure Anokhi remains safe! So that's quite consistent...

Having said that her accusing Shaurya isn't making sense to me before today's scene ... C'mon Shaurya protected her from her husband in the past.. Both were shown to have some understanding chat during valentines day sequence... And ab achanak se you have so much of hatred? Why? How? Nai pata...

Thanks for reminding me about the fact that Babli was unaware of their intentions and hence, she was agreeing to the marriage. Also one thing I wish to mention here (I might be wrong, so you can correct me)... When Anokhi comes to know that Babli is physically abused by Vineet, she confronts her jiju and dials Ahir (i suppose??!) to come and arrest him, but I guess she's stopped by Babli. I mean Babli is ready to suffer in her relationship and doesn't want to be rescued by Anokhi but Anokhi's situation is different, Shaurya isn't being bad or abusive to Anokhi and he has once saved Babli from getting slapped by Vineet. Yet she's so distrustful of him. But she holds so much trust for Ahir accompanying her and befriending Anokhi... When there's no information about Ahir's life?!! And in reality, would a sister trust a male police officer so blindly to be so protective of her younger sister? That's just my thoughts! Anokhi must've talked about her friendship with Ahir to her, but it only happened after she already knew Shaurya well, and how he saved Babli's life once.

As we don't have much of Babli's self talk wo can't say for sure. But there are so many reasons for Babli to mistrust Shaurya.

He created problem in Anokhi's admission

He was against Anokhi during ragging time.

He questioned her character.

Some other factors can be...

Babli has seen his family behaviour when she went SM.

Aastha factor is also there.

And Ahir was always helpful to both Anokhi and Babli. He was shown really understanding in scene whem Babli was getting late for reaching her home. And she did not trust him fully with her sister. Babli did not send Ahir Goa in search of Anokhi and to bring her back.She trusted him enough to accompany her(Babli) to Goa. ( Do I make sense?😐)
