Yeah the trust ...he lost in her ...he thinks its not present but it resided in him forever ...its his rage/impulsiveness that overtook his trust on her for the time being ...and his hurt ..his pain is yelling out loud on her atm..only to confirm n read his eyes i hav wtched the episode 3 times ...n yes u r right ..he is hurting himself deep inside with his every word ...he is redefining her in his perspective (i didnt take it in a wrong way ..on the good side i say..not from the scenario happening over there in d house )...he is taunting them as well ..but putting his baby steps towards self destruction ...wen he realizes wat he did to her ..n wat actually has been done to her..that day may be he 'll fall apart ...but i seriously hope her to be with him then ...coz pallavi isnt a girl who believes in tit for tat ...at times she did give him back coz she thought n she knows he believes in such things ..not that she intentionally had grudges or angst over him..forgiveness ki baat bahut door ki hai ..but her trust in him should be rebuilt by raghav himself ..inch by inch time n again 🥺...and thats gonna happen eventually or may be once he realizes his mistake (i say the immediate realization) ...

For me it looks like she's gonna kill him in parts with his each word today 🤣 ...mazaa aayega impatient n irritating ghamandi rao ko dekhne mein 🤣..uske ghamand tut-the hue dekhne ko milega ...

P.s: oh yesss!!! I wtchd humsafar...i jus loved that series n the song especially ..!! And i know n feel wat u wrote up there 🤗..thanku for such a lovely post ❤️

Thanks, dear! Loved reading your thoughts here. 🤗

Trust is going to be a big deal in general for both of them. Raghav is afraid to trust, was starting to open the door to Pallavi but has slammed it shut now. I think his heart will still want to believe in her genuineness even before he finds out the truth but he will have a tug of war with his mind. Over time he will be unable to resist really caring about her wellbeing and will find himself automatically trusting her despite the warning bells in his head, I see the balance shifting that way gradually. However, he will realize that trust needs to go both ways and while he has more and more faith in her, her lack of faith in him will be difficult for him to accept. I expect that she would make it very clear that even in the smallest of things she won't trust his words, actions, or intentions.

Pallavi, on the other hand, can be naive and easily trust people but after what Raghav did to her and what the Deshmukhs will do next, she will find it difficult to trust people. That's not to say she will be as extreme as Raghav is but she will be far more cautious when dealing with people. I don't see her trusting Raghav one bit, and the look in her eyes showed how betrayed she felt by his words and actions yesterday. They were never friends, but at least she thought they had that understanding between as to how far they would go in this game. That bubble of hers burst and how!

Raghav will learn to be careful with his words because he can really hurt people with those sometimes. Also, because everything he tells her comes back to haunt him sooner or later. Now, Pallavi won't go easy on him. I want her to shut him out of her personal life so that he doesn't have an insight into what she thinks or feels going forward. I want her to struggle to solve her own problems but refuse his help, because we all know how much that annoys him. He has a habit of trying to fix things even when the other person doesn't ask him to or refuses help, and this time I hope she puts her foot down.

Thanks for your post! Agree, this episode started setting the foundation for the future tracks. Pallavi jo bhi karegi, bada maza aayega.

I agree, the way he said tab kya. (his tone and facial expression), would have pissed off any father because it's what a defiant guy would say to the father of a girl. In his case, he wants to highlight that at the end of the day Rambo cannot control either Pallavi or him, and things will not always go his way.

I absolutely loved Sai too, but then again, I love him more and more each day as he keeps improving everything. I always appreciate actors who don't take things for granted and keep working on getting better. ❤️

Don't worry about the caps, we all have weird issues from time to time.

You're not alone in this. Hopefully CVs understand that we want to learn more. I think it might come up when Raghav's past is revealed.

Raghav was his usual self the one which he was earlier the Don of Hyderabad. But I also felt he was forcefully asserting himself tat Pallavi is wrong and what he is going to do is what she deserves . To me he felt more confident yesterday bcause he was only trapping her but today he was doing all the nasty things which even his heart rejects tats y he has locked his heart and doing the things . Farhad was the person who tried to put some sense into this hothead but went in vain . Watching Pallu’s eyes filled with tears and being clueless and naive infront of all those preying eyes wer just sooo . Shivangi’s eyes spoke volumes today . It was full of innocence, shame( for what ppl will think) , fear (of losing her family’s trust) She thought she could get rid of him with just a get out as she always does but no , this man had come up with full proof plan that too he executed byBackstabbing. Pallavi will be numb , heartbroken etc etc . This girl has made ‘ Pallavi DESHMUKH’ her identity and she can’t afford to lose it. Her dream , life everything revolves around them . And tomorrow Pallavi will be shattered forever . I don’t think she will question her family now . It will take time for her to understand what kind of people they are and may be Amma will stand up for her against her family . May be she will give them some taunts or something like that. I felt a bit relieved when I saw aayi and Nikhil stopping Baba . These two love her dearly and I don’t think aayi will ever misunderstand her . But truth is tat in tat family pure souls like kaka and aayi have no voice . They are silenced or unheard by these Sulu and Sanki type ppl.

Coming to Raghav I feel he won’t be able to celebrate his victory . He will be restless . Her eyes will haunt him for sure till their marriage. Deep down I also feel that in order to give Raghav a reply she will do the same drama infront of his Amma which will force Amma to ask Raghav to marry Pallu otherwise there was no need for Raghav to say all those things in promo . His revenge is complete then y after marriage also talking of revenge . She very well knows Raghav’s soft spot for Amma . So she will play accordingly. But then the question arises will be Is Pallavi that strong to rise from the fall so fast . From what we have seen so far she is not like that . She talks much but does little . Or it can be Krishna who informs Keerthi and from there Amma also comes to know about Raghav kaand and then the marriage .

After marriage Raghav will be the one who mends his ways first . Bcause he has already reached the threshold and from there his character needs to bent . Raghav knows well tat deep inside his heart he has feelings brewing for her . To get rid of all those things and to reassure himself he did all this drama hoping he won’t have to face her again. But after marriage case will be different. She will be staying with him under same roof and it will be very different for him to control his heart . He may even try to deviate it by bringing some girls to his room . All these things he will be doing to get a reaction from her but all he gets will be royal ignorance . This will drive him mad . Chances are there for him to seduce her also bcause he believes tat girls just swoon over him and this girl is not giving him a damn . But after misunderstandings get cleared he I’ll not only love but will respect and trust her also . May be at this point he will share his past

With her . Pallavi also might have mellowed down after many days passing and may console a broken Raghav in his special room in RR mansion.

Coming to Humsafar , I feel Asher was more wrong bcause Khirad was his wife and he easily fell into a plot created by his own mother . He even didn’t cross check . Asher had trust issues I feel bcause even before his mom carried out this plan he was disturbed with the presence of some other man near his wife and him praising her etc etc . Possessiveness is okay but tat should not lead to distrust which Asher showed . Ya, Khirad was right in telling him tat she can never be tat innocent girl who loved her husband wholeheartedly. She lost her innocence in all these years. Raghav is more strong I feel compared to Asher . He hardly knows Pallavi but half of his heart said Pallavi can never do such a thing. If they were a couple Raghav will never fall for such a stupid thing.

Last but not the least I felt Raghav got some pleasure by linking her name with him .He was the one who accused Pallavi of the same it tat girl is not like tat but this man got some pleasure by marking her as his (whatever it may be)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😃

I agree, he was constantly trying to convince himself that he had the right culprit and that he was ensuring justice was served, in his Don style.

Normally, he would have never done something like this to any girl, but he was provoked by memories of Keerti and his mother crying. I know the editing was messed up but they were trying to show us through flashbacks why those memories of their faces was topmost on his mind.

I refuse to believe he wasn't affected by the look in Pallavi's eyes. He knows how to read her and what he saw there did not match what he had in mind. The look of confusion, hurt, betrayal, and probably disgust was not something he thought he'd see. Hence he stepped up his verbal strikes because after a point it became a matter of proving his approach was right and trying to break her if the hurt he was seeing was indeed just a facade. I will say one thing, for all of Raghav's aggression in general, he doesn't seem the type to go round intentionally breaking people's hearts or insulting them, especially if they are innocent.

Nikhil is a gem, I really want to see more of him. His love for Pallavi is unconditional, and he has seen what kind of guy Raghav is - he will never believe him and will stand by Pallavi. Also, putting myself in his shoes, Pallavi is link to his late brother who he cherishes. We don't see Nikhil getting sentimental usually but I know this plays on his mind. He really sees her as his sister and not just his widowed sister-in-law. Technically speaking, if Pallavi never remarried, then Nikhil would have to be the one to look after her wellbeing once his parents are no longer alive.

Regarding celebrating his victory, he was clearly enraged by Farhad telling him he had crossed a line, because deep down he knew he had. His voice was shaking as he was trying to reconcile the fact that he was unhappy and hurting despite executing his plan flawlessly. I agree, it seems more and more likely that the marriage will not be initiated by Raghav. I don't think he's interested in that right now, especially not after what happened to Keerti. Remember, he still thinks Pallavi is guilty. I would love it if Pallavi were the one to tell Amma what happened, but it's possible Farhad tells Keerti about this, or at least talks to Krishna to ask how Pallavi is, finds out she's been kicked out and then takes action. I really really want them to take this route with Farhad's character. It would add more weight to it and would make real sense. I don't see Ayi or Baba caring enough to go and confront Jaya about what her son has done. Krishna informing Keerti also makes sense.

Raghav is a stubborn and arrogant guy who will not admit his mistakes or reflect on them easily. It will take some kind of wake up call but that's going to be interesting to watch. From what we've seen so far, I am sure Sai will nail those kinds of scenes.

As for marking her, I know what you mean. Subconsciously, he has spoiled her for anyone else so that no one else can enter her life. I don't think it's out of romantic intentions at this point, rather we saw that in his hallucination where he imagined Pallavi saying she wanted to ruin Keerti's chances of finding a husband after Mansi's wedding was canceled because of him, and I suppose he wanted to ensure Pallavi never found someone either. He doesn't know she's a widow so he sees her as a single, eligible woman whose chances of find a good match he wanted to destroy.

So sorry, if I spoiled that scene, but don't worry, there will be more and the effects of today will soften over time.

Forgive and forget - we're told this a lot but it's easier said than done. It often comes down to whether the love is strong enough to diminish the pain or to help you focus on a beautiful future. Time will tell where they take this story but I agree that we shouldn't get our hopes up. Very few shows on ITV have done that and they don't tend to be on this channel. 😉

What Raghav did today cannot be pardoned easily, in general. His intentions were right but the target was wrong. However, they need to push the story forward and this is to be the hook for the next major track. One thing I didn't stress enough was that when Raghav realizes she was innocent all along, the blow to his feelings would be immense but more than that, as a person who believes in justice, this will have shaken his notions of being principled about such things. This is the same person who took the blame upon himself to ensure Pallavi wasn't wrongly jailed for the gunpowder incident.

The guy really needs to control both his drinking and his temper, because it seems to be clouding his judgement. I am still a bit greedy and will take whatever angst we can get in between the typical ITV drama. 😆

This is why I have that teeny bit of hope, because Raghav is an interesting character. He's almost like a walking paradox. He was harsh to Pallavi when he felt she wronged him, but the next moment, dude goes all soft and mushy on kids, older people and women. I was honestly annoyed in that scene where he tortured Pallavi as much as he wanted, but immediately helped her cover up her torn blouse. I initially thought that this whole thing was a gimmick; a case of bad writing where the makers couldn't bother enough to make his character nuanced and layered and instead juxtaposed two such jarring scenes which failed to have the desired effect. I still think that the writing in the initial episodes were pretty mediocre. A lot of the things could've been dealt subtly rather than just shoving it in our faces.

But as I kept watching, I realised that Raghav is indeed a strange man. Yes, he's ruthless, cruel and arrogant, but that man does have his heart in the right place. He is many things and can do many things, but there are certain lines he doesn't cross (It's very ironical to say this today when he broke this very rule). I don't know how to explain, but Raghav is different from other angry young men on ITV because even in rivalry, he plays (-ed) by the rules, adding on to what you said–the way he was particular about safely dropping Pallavi home with his driver even when they were at loggerheads with each other, the way he made Pallavi, his rival win the competition because didn't want whatever that happened with Lion ruin her chances. The reasoning he gave to Pallavi–"I made you win, because I know you" is something, I believe, no conventional angry young man would say. And the best part, he doesn't do this because he loves her or he's falling for her. He does it because that's how that man is built. Again, I'm not forgetting those numerous times Raghav had been petty and childish, just that I find this quality to be the core of his personality.

So I totally agree with you about Raghav's redemption being painful to him due to him realising the extent of the injustice he caused and not just because he did it to Pallavi.

I hope I didn't come off as a Raghav apologist, because I'm certainly NOT. I so want him to suffer giving us the much needed angst.😆

@K_keechu, thanks for the detailed response again.

I too would have preferred to see the entire scene otherwise you lose the flow, but I understand they do it to keep people curious about what happens in the next episode.

Raghav can be very calm and collected, cunning when he wants to be, but he can also rush to conclusions when his anger blinds him and do things to hurt people. Amma had clearly pointed this out to Pallavi during the sangeet.

I want to see him thinking about his trust/lack of trust in Pallavi after this, even before the wedding. Does he still believe 100% that she had betrayed him. It's interesting he should feel that way, because if they are indeed enemies then the concept of betrayal or mistrust is a moot point. You expect that from an enemy, but in his case despite all his words about not mistaking his humanity for his friendship, he had begin to consider her if not part of his inner circle, but close to it.

BWA has it coming and for once I really want to see a TV vamp get her just desserts, through Raghav or otherwise. It would be even better if Amruta runs away with Yogesh and Mansi goes with Rahul (or someone else) because BWA deserves to be alone. I would go so far as to say Milind should find himself a nice lady to settle down with. He doesn't love her anymore and will never trust her again. Why can't he have another chance in life? I do not advocate breaking marriages but what BWA and he share is not one. It's just emotional suffering and humiliation for him at this point. If Raghav were to punish her, he would find the appropriate way for it, probably suing her in court and sending her to jail the way she had done to his family. Of course, if Pallavi doesn't intervene and ask for leniency, in which case I hope he refuses.

I agree that we should not expect typical hero-like decency from Raghav. If he shows it, that would be from time to time and not the norm. He was introduce as a storm, as fire, as a Don, as a dark character. Those are not sweet and gentle traits, but it's not to say he can't be gentle when he wants to be. You see this side with his mother and sister.

Yes, she is an artist and I want to see her have time to do that. She was very enthusiastic about the saree competition but perhaps there are other things she wanted to do but buried her dreams (either because she got married of because she wanted to carry on the torch after Mandaar died).

I like your observation that both were getting ready for different things but both were led down this path of destruction. Indeed, that death glare to Farhad would have silenced anyone. Raghav didn't have to say a single word, we were able to understand his frame of mind in that scene. Props to Sai again for playing character so different to his gentle, introvert personality.

Well, he did tell Pallavi that he took an injured dog to the vet before putting her in front of the truck. smiley36

That blouse tearing scene, the entire sequence was one of my favorites. Without words you could tell so much about his character there and his respect for the women's decency and dignity. The fact is that he doesn't treat her as 'a woman', as in, he doesn't think of her gender when he challenges her, despite his taunts about women being no good at running businesses. He has always treated her as an adult who has a mind of her own, until he saw recently her other side in front of her family that he had not encountered in his dealings with her before.

Raghav is indeed a complex character with many contradictions and this is what makes him very interesting and unpredictable. He believes in sportsmanship and an even playing field, and he has done so with Pallavi so far, not out of romantic notions but because of the person he is, as you said. He's not just a raging bull all the time, and the way he executed his latest plan in the latest track proves that he has beauty, brains, and brawn. Multi-dimensional characters, especially MLs, are hard to find on TV (the last one I saw was Hanuman Singh in Patiala Babes). Totally agree that while he has some aspects of an angry young man, he has other facets to his character that are deeper and fascinating to watch being uncovered. Most MLs in that category tend to be written relatively shallow which is why you don't have theses nuances. I also find it endearing when he does childish things because again, there is a part of him that's still living in his teens, the little boy that doesn't or won't grow up, at least not so easily, and you can see him doing some immature things once in a while.

Please do not apologize for speaking about Raghav and even if you were an apologist, so what? We are here to share ideas and I love such discussions. For my part, in my analyses I usually try and focus on the characters and events without judging them, though I'm not always successful. smiley36 As such, I don't condemn or condone Raghav's actions because he is behaving according to his nature. If there were a sudden departure from it because of poor writing, then I would flag that, but I typically try to understand the character's perspective and motivations. Same thing with Pallavi. I am not like her and there are things I would hope she does, but I go with what her nature is and try to view things through her lens. I will say, though, that the need to flesh out her back story more because Raghav's character depth may overshadow hers because of the unbalanced writing (nothing to do with the actors).

Like you, I enjoy watching the angst, but at the same time I will not be ok with angst just for the sake of TRPs/eyeballs. It needs to lead to character growth, otherwise it feels like a gimmick.

I agree with everything you have mentioned in the previous paragraphs.

@ black – I know it's naive to look for political correctness in ITV shows, but with the regressive content it has been churning out for years, it has come to a point where it's become crucial to call out toxic characters. This is why I didn't want to come off as supporting any of what Raghav did today because even though he has his reasons, what he did was despicable. True to his character, yet despicable. As much as I don't want the art of writing to be policed in any form, I want ITV in general to stop churning out regressive toxic characters as romantic leads because after a point, they just become normalized. I know the line is very thin here 😔

@brown – I envy you so much! I've been finding it difficult for a while to decide how I feel about certain shows and characters that appear to be problematic on the surface, but I enjoy them nevertheless in secret. Like a guilty pleasure! 😆 I really like your approach, that's definitely a better way to appreciate content without having to feel conflicted about things.

@yellow – Agree! I want to see how she dealt with Mandar's death and transitioned into the daughter of the house. I'm also curious about how emotionally invested she was with Mandaar. Was she truly in love with him or was he just someone she looked up to?

After watching today's precap, I might take back my words about wanting angst in the story. That scene was so intense with both of them at each other's throats. I hope in the coming days, this rage transitions to doubts, regrets and angst on Raghav's part and just blinding fury and thirst for revenge on Pallavi's.

My heart is still aching after watching the episode. Maybe it's the first time I won't watch an episode of this show twice back to back because I need to recover a little before watching Sai doing his fantastic work on screen again. I knew what to expect and was mentally prepared but still, seeing what happened to Pallavi made me feel terrible. Not just because of what Raghav did, which we all knew was coming, but because I know what her 'family' is about to do. We know what they are like, but she has yet to open her eyes, and when she does the light will blind her. She will have to learn to refocus her eyes and find her way around in this new, harsh world. Welcome to the 'hard school' of life, Pallavi, where some lessons make us or break us. In your case, I hope they will first break you and then make you rise from the ashes to soar in the sky one day. As a woman, it is going to hurt watching you lose your joie de vivre and innocence about life, but at the same time I am also hopeful that you will find your true self during this journey.

Keeping in mind Raghav's protective instinct and knowing his nature, I would say that considering the magnitude of the crime against his sister, his punishment is actually relatively mild for the culprit, except that Pallavi isn't the one. If it were anyone else, and especially if it had been a man, he would have been far more ruthless, but her past actions do weigh on his mind. He believed that she had spun a web of deceit, so he spun one of his own, as if to show her what tit for tat really means. Every word that came out of his mouth was carefully measured.

This is going to be tough for me, but let me dissect today's episode a little. The entire family had gathered to celebrate this achievement and for Pallavi this was the moment when she wanted to prove to her Baba that she had succeeded in fulfilling his dreams the way her late husband had wanted to before his lifeline was cut short. She thought she had finally found the answer to all his questions about her actions and shop operations, that he would irrevocably accept her as his son. You could tell how much his approval meant to her. Once again, I wondered if her sole purpose was to fulfill their dreams, or whether DSE had also become her dream along the way. Was it a romantic notion of a widow fulfilling the wishes of her late husband? Time will tell. As others have mentioned, she was too quick to celebrate, did not even wait for the lawyers to send the paperwork, and most importantly did not tell anyone, including Nikhil what had happened when she made the deal. Even Sharda mentioned this today. Typical Pallavi.

Raghav was a man on a mission today, which comes as no surprise. Starting with his power dressing scene, his stance in front of the mirror, and that determination in his eyes, every single part of his body screamed steely resolve. Sai's body language there was bang on. There were some interesting details in that scene, especially in the way he seemed to take extra care with his appearance to give him the confidence and aura he needed to execute his plan. I noticed the way Farhad merely handed him his jacket instead of helping him put it on as he might have on other occasions when his Anna was dressing up for a special moment in his life. He followed his Anna out of habit but his footsteps were heavy as they descended the stairs and metaphorically as Raghav prepared to descend to the depths of depravity today. Farhad couldn't bear to see the devil in his Anna's eyes and lowered his gaze when Raghav glared at him for trying to stop him. His footsteps faltered at the entrance, his prayer "Ya Allah, Pallavi pe Rehem karna" was heartfelt, and as we know, prayers from wounded hearts are always answered. He knew he could do nothing to stop Raghav today. He had no choice but to accompany him as the disaster unfolded but in his eyes you could already see that Farhad's soul was burdened. Props to Himanshu, he did a fantastic job in that entire scene. I am even more eager to see a rift between these two now.

The way Raghav walked into their house spelled trouble immediately, and you could see the same anxiety on everyone's faces that we as the audience felt. He sized up the entire group and zeroed in on Pallavi, as if it were just the two of them in this world. As he began to speak, he laid it on thicker with every word he uttered - how the shop was a very small reward for all the pleasures Pallavi had given him, how he was there to share this special occasion with her. For someone who was mesmerized by the mere touch of her fingers when giving her the safety pin, him putting his arm around her and holding her hands as her lover was unexpected for me but fit in with what he was trying to do, i.e. show that they had been intimate. That part for me took away all the 'awww' that I had felt during the safety pin scene. This was the same man who had chosen to leave her room and give her privacy when she was getting dressed but today he was touching her to try to cheapen her character and her intentions.

No father (figure) likes to be told that they had no control over how a man would touch their daughter in private. Every word Raghav uttered was like a dagger in Pallavi's heart. He not only stabbed her in the back but also in her heart, while twisting the knife repeatedly. Not once did he lose his cool and remained focused on the message he was trying to deliver. All her visits to his house, most for genuine reasons, were turned into something derogatory. The word commitment came up a couple of times, and I want to highlight this. His aim was not only to show her family that she had been intimate with him, but also that she didn't believe the bonds of marriage were necessary in order to have such relations. He deliberately made it sound like it wasn't a big deal if an adult, single, beautiful girl like her wanted to live life on her own terms because found out during the abortion fiasco that such thinking would not be acceptable in that family. Not only that, he made it seem as if it was Pallavi who didn't want to commit to a relationship, who was happy to take what she could from him in return for 'favors', and who had actually used and thrown him away once she got what she wanted. I hated what he was saying but the wording he used was brilliant and achieved the desired effect. 😕

Pallavi asked him to get out and again threatened to punish him, which was not helping her case, since we know it is such dialogues that led him to believe she was guilty in the first place. Not that she was aware of any of it. His response was that she was now throwing him out of their house, showing him her "true" colors now that she got the shop for "free". Pehle tum mereko bolta tha na, baby shona jaanu. Abhi seedha get out?

I cringed at that line, seriously. No one who knows Pallavi would ever believe she would say such things but still Raghav kept his language 'normal' without insulting her. You might wonder why everyone was silently listening to him, but what he was saying was so ridiculous that it left everyone speechless indeed. He even stripped her of the ability to defend herself saying she had pretended to fight with him in front of everyone to hide their relationship and make it seem as if they were enemies, because she was a simple seedhi ladki who didn't want any commitment from him.

In the end, he made her look like a master planner and great actress who wanted to apparently hide the real terms of the deal from her family, and that he was there to foil her plans to spin a yarn in front of the Deshmukhs. Despite all his harsh words, you could see the hurt in his eyes because he was hurting her for her supposed betrayal, and he knew it. Without using abusive language he managed to paint a portrait of her that is nothing like her real self but an image of what he thinks of her at this moment. If his rage hadn't taken over his mind he would have read the honesty in her eyes the way he had all those days, including when they were in the cage. Believe you me, those eyes of hers that showed the pain he was inflicting on her today are going to haunt him for months to come, especially when he finds out that she was innocent.

Raghav made another point about there being no deadlines when money needed to be paid, I am assuming in reference to the EMI plan she had mentioned to him earlier. Of course, no one else knew about that, except perhaps Krishna. Rather than handing her the bundle of cash as we've seen him do in the past, he took the notes out and threw money at her like she was some cheap dancer at a cheap event for those 19-20 nights they spent together (can someone please count? ugh). I couldn't believe he threw money at her like that but then again, I could believe Raghav was capable of anything in that moment - he refused to see sense. I am just relieved it wasn't something similar to what happened to Keerti because I didn't want to see a repeat of that with Pallavi. Thank goodness he didn't take that approach. It doesn't excuse his actions but what he did made sense, because his goal was to hit her where it hurt most, with her family, and he achieved it. Farhad, who usually walks with his back straight and stands proudly next to his Anna to support him, was just being his employee in that moment. The brother, best friend, and decent man in him just couldn't meet Pallavi's eyes or anyone else's and left immediately because he was probably reeling from it all himself, watching his Anna self-destruct with every word he uttered. Tomorrow Rambo will slap Raghav but he won't lose his cool as he delivers the most important message, to ensure her family wouldn't believe her if she tried to deny their affair. After all, if she could lie about the shop for two years, then she was capable of any kind of deceit, wasn't she? 😔

I want to applaud the writing in this scene for all the messages they delivered through his dialogues. I am not sure he realized or predicted that they would throw her out, but he wanted to destroy her confidence and self-esteem, as well her place in the family once and for all. I think he succeeded to a great extent. He indirectly showed them their double standards (which we all know about) but also challenged them that if she wanted to live that way, who were they to question her? We all know how that's going to go. I think if she were their daughter it would be different but as the bahu she carries the tag of being Mandaar's widow as well as the burden of ghar ki izzat, etc, especially in Rambo's eyes. The question is, would Raghav care if she is thrown out? Would he understand the burden she carries once he finds out she's a widow? I hope he doesn't learn of it until the actually wedding or even afterwards because the impact would be profound.

So not only did he malign her character today and make her seem like a gold digger, but he also made her appear to be a ruthless woman who would go to any lengths to get what she wanted, in this case the shop. Raghav, you'd better be careful about throwing the word commitment around lightly, because that's exactly what is coming up in your life, a word you will have to learn the meaning of the hard way, and a word whose importance in Pallavi's life you are yet to discover.

I am not sure what exactly will prompt Rambo to throw Pallavi out. If I were to guess, it would be that his dream was being fulfilled but there would be no joy in it, as the means of achieving it tainted its meaning and value in his life. Raghav had said he would destroy Pallavi and strip the Deshmukhs of their identity. With the masterstroke that he delivered today (and will continue in the next episode), he not only managed to do both but also shattered their dreams forever.

A side note... I don't know if it was the editing or the repeated flashes on their faces (which I really wish they'd stop doing) but the last bit seemed choppy... Ugh...

It was clear in the previous episode that Pallavi was aware how important it was to set aside her emotions when dealing with Raghav. Once they are married, we are likely to see that become the norm for her. I know we say he won't be able to handle her hatred, but after today's episode, I believe it's her indifference that will become the slow poison to destroy him on the inside. He isn't done with his revenge yet. He is waiting to hear about the aftermath of the tornado he has just unleashed in the Deshmukhs' lives and to relish every second of that triumphant feeling. His natural expectation would be that she would hate him for the rest of her life and that he wouldn't care about it. Oh, but he will! The accusing eyes of Farhad and his family to start with, and then the others around will make it hard for him to look them in the eyes. At least, I hope that will be the case. However, if Pallavi acts indifferent towards him and he fails to get a rise out of her - because you can be sure he will do that at every turn to annoy her once they're married - that will be difficult for him to handle.

Did he sufficiently punish the perpetrator? He thinks he did, but in doing so he has already started punishing himself. If you read between the lines of what he said to everyone today, there was so much meaning behind them that showed he was hurt not just on behalf of his sister and mother, but also because he had felt betrayed by her. He was raging mad at her but even more at himself for having fallen for her 'apparent' innocence and dignity. He will go home after this, supposedly to celebrate his victory and to find some mental peace after completing his mission, but he will not be able to. Our conscience is our biggest punisher, and he will not be exempt. Long before his actions and errors are discovered by others, his soul will have started cursing him. It was apparent in the precap we saw recently where he tried hard to justify his actions to Farhad after returning, but failed miserably. Expect the alcohol to flow more freely than ever before.

I know a lot of people are asking whether Raghav has crossed the Rubicon here. I don't think we are in a position to judge that, only Pallavi can. It is for her to decide whether or not to forgive him and actually choose him as her life partner when everything is out in the open later. No matter how much she toughens up, I do not see her going against her understanding nature when that happens. She will see it from all angles, understand his motivations and intentions, and maybe even choose to forgive him, especially if he asks/pleads/begs her to. The real point is not forgiveness, rather it is whether she can forget. But can one really forget such things, unless one has amnesia? No, because while time (and balms) may heal all wounds, the scars will remain as a constant reminder of what led her to that point in her life.

The true test of Raghav's personal growth and love for his wife will actually come at that point, because her forgiveness will not necessarily mean that she will accept him as hers or accept to be his forever. What will he do in that case? Will there be anything at all that he can do to convince her to give him a chance? Short of doing something big for someone she cares about who may be in trouble, I don't see him being able to make any impact on her. Whether or not it would be sufficient to win him a chance at being in her life is debatable. It all depends on whether or not she chooses to move ahead in life without him, when he has no power over her thoughts and emotions and to what extent his past mistakes make it impossible for her to ever trust him again. Will he be able to let her go for her own sake?

I may be expecting too much, but after watching today's episode this is one story where I do not want to see a fairytale ending. Raghav may be doomed to suffer in misery for the rest of his life despite having all that power and money. His whole family (including Pallavi) may physically be in his life but will be emotionally more distant than they ever were when living apart. Pallavi, on the other hand, may have all the professional success in life but the bitter experiences during this journey will have killed something inside her that she can never truly recover from. There will be two broken hearts living in the same home, unable to connect and become one because the fissures will be ever-present. Those of you who have watched Humsafar will know exactly what I'm talking about.

PS It took me ages to write this so I haven't had time to proofread. Please excuse mistakes and thank you for patiently reading my rambling.

What an amazing post. Talent personified. Impressive in-depth take on every moment and word delivered. If you have heard words are mightier than sword, that's what Raghav used today. Raghav was at his best in hurting Pallavi with such finesse dialogues. Kudos. Pallavi in shock, Is this even happening to me. I saw that sense of fear while was in the truck scene..in her own house with the so-called family. The hurt from both sides was super evident. Raghav not just for his mom and sister, but self too. He had been let down by one woman whom he was developing some trust and had respect. How these two will recover from this, am excited to watch.

The only way for Raghvi now is forward and upward. Both will be each others’ wind beneath their wings. Fingers crossed.

I really love these lines. I'm also an optimistic person, I do believe that love can heal anything. Yeah that scar will be there but the pain will be gone. The memories will be there but the depth of those memories won't hold much meanings.

I really don't want a destruction for these two, but a construction. That's what they need as well. They need to build themselves from their past.

Past can break and make a person and you should always choose the latter, never hold on to the past because past always hides the future from the present. Letting your past hold you will results in the failure of future, you will never be able to see that beauty your future will offer you.

So be optimistic, have that belief in the world, have that belief in love because love heals everything. For this same reason, I want Raghav and Pallavi to break that hold of their pasts and forgive each other and embrace their future.

As you said they need to be the air for the other to fly.
