He was doing a stunt for the maze runner I believe and he sustained a really bad injury. He had to take a break for a while from what I heard and I heard news that he also had depression because of all this issue. Don't know the proper story actually just heard bits and pieces and after that he found it hard to jumpstart his career again given his career was starting to blow up with the maze runner.

Just now googled and found out he had brain trauma due to that accident!

life is sometimes so unfair. he missed out lot of opportunities due to the accident. By the time he recovered both physically and mentally, he was past his prime as per HW standards
