I understand Adi is dealing with his own stress and guilt and thinks ki bas sach bataane se yeh sab solve ho jaayega.....but he's also being kinda shortsighted about the psychological damage Malini is leaving on Imlie......I'm hoping Rupi sees it to some extent and helps Imlie with processing this trauma and moving past it.

It is not just the sindoor related drama malini made sure to dampen her success since the very day too be it taking away kaunse college jaana hai choice away or more smaller ones like how she felt on day 1 when she went for admissions pe bolne na dena.. or constantly systematically not letting her bask In the glory of her success by being 2nd hi toh aayi Hai what big deal.. she heard it that day .. and then follow up.with uttran sari making her feel so unworthy of any happiness by that and adding how she becomes the reason for malini's unhappiness and if all that imlie was pushing behind then she did the extra sindoor drama .. makes one think real hard it is not as simple as it looks at first glance one may think and I did it too that she is compromising on her dream but is she really then? when she is being continously told ke kuch bada kaam nahi kia and everyone is just hyping her up caz they value her.. obv that will make you doubt yourself and 100 tareefon main woh ek critique dimaag se jaayegi nahi..

Didi single handedly made her feel ke she hasn't achieved anything and everyone is just being kind to her caz she is poor village girl with no manners who went to school and it is not big deal and is not worth of this success

Had all this happened in the beginning, Imlie would have only had guilt to deal with. In the current situation she has unfortunately attached shame to it as well because of her feelings for Aditya and his feelings for her. That is a double whammy that she thinks can be handled if and only if Aditya stays with Malini.

Malini very deliberately berated Imlie - she was trying to kill two birds with one stone with that tamasha. Of keeping both Aditya and Imlie drowned in guilt. She just did not expect that Aditya would not care enough to give a damn. But she found her mark with Imlie - who fell at her feet the next morning despite that dragging she had undergone. Which is why I do not know if Imlie will listen to Rupali either especially if that suicide attempt happens. I do not see respite unfortunately however much I would want to see a calm and peaceful Imlie back to her old self.

About Aditya - hard to tell if he can come out of the stupor he is in. He will probably dislike Malini even more if she tries taking her life? And if Imlie pushes him after that to stay with her he will just wallow no?

The past few episodes have all felt like the social distancing bit is being followed only between Aditya and Imlie on this show. First day of college ka kachra kar diya. Ab yeh kuch award ka kachra hoga. The chasm will not deepen. It’s just annoying that they are not soothing it out between the two even a tad bit.

Oh absolutely!

This really isn't about justifying or defending Imlie ka Didi jaap....woh toh seperate issue hai that will keep frustrating us.

But it has to be factored in ki Malini ne subtly pura last week yeh build up kiya hai of trying to pull Imlie down in subtle ways....as you rightly pointed out, from the moment woh dinner date got cancelled to celebrate Imlie ka achievement, Malini has been doing underhanded petty things to guilt trip Imlie....har cheez lagaa ke bol rahi hai ki tumhari kismat chamki, meri nahin, phir apni second hand sari chipka di Imlie ko....then baad mein bol diya ki bas second aayi ho, you need to learn manners....phir yeh sindoor wala tamasha itna drag kiya....at every single point, she tried to DIMINISH Imlie and her achievements. And it has left a mark on Imlie in some form.

We can debate how consciously/unconsciously Didi did it but uska pura intent yahi tha to pull down Imlie cuz she was feeling insecure herself on every level....Dementor is indeed the right description for her.

Sigh this makes me realize again why it felt like such a RELIEF to see Imlie finally getting a hug from someone kal.....itna trauma jhel rahi hai bechaari itne dino se while Didi did this whole sindoor tamasha so that she can play victim again and fixate everyone's attention on herself. Mehh.

Oh absolutely. Everything was heightened from the day Imlie returned on Holi and Malini stopped her from applying color on her. She has been on a traumatizing spree since then with every action of hers. She did not even let Imlie talk about her experience when she went to college for her admission Classic elitism and naked jealousy at work during each instance

I think it's all coming from that scene at C house when she saw Malini hugging Adi....usse pehle Imlie wasn't attaching any "shame" to her feelings for Adi per se....but that moment onwards, the image is haunting her and uske baad Malini ke tamaashe have completed baaki ki kasar in further making her feel like she is actually a third wheel....Malini has left no chance to bark at her to back off from between husband-wife....she keeps other-izing Imlie multiple times.

Imlie was still ok upto the sindoor scene when she showed Adi that she's always going to wear it.....but uske baad se she saw the fights between Adi-Malini visibly escalating every moment they were in front of her toh that dialed up all her guilt/shame further. Us bechaari ka struggle hi is waqt yeh hai ki she wants to savor the sindoor by herself but feelings attach ho hi gayi hain Adi se and it's not so simple for her anymore to savor the sindoor as seperate from her feelings for him. And Malini is going the full nine yards in portraying herself as a victim jiski rightful attention is being given to Imlie.....this is all tormenting Imlie inside endlessly.

It is meant to left a mark na esp caz Malini very well knew what it meant for imlie which is why she dragged her Down even more how imlie is getting everything she wanted while malini didi isn't (seriously some 2 rs khana was that important that she put it as equivalent to imlie ki padhaai log kitne neech gir sakte gain *TCh TCh*)

So much for being meri behan.. the moment she saw she is getting somewhere neeche keechna start kar dia lines draw kar di maalik aur naukaar wali.. uttran tak dedi.. made her feel like a charity case witb why you gotta help her adi.. even after adi so explicitly stating that he will forever be imlie ke saath caz this isn't her only win.. NOTICE after that she went with extra vengeance to pull imlie down and make her success feel like nothing. Kabhi forms delay karke kabhi usse mannerless bula ke kabhi uttran deke. She was trying to hammer harder ke imlie won't be anything and this might just be a fluke system ki daya just so imlie backs out of her dream and doesn't become didi ka competition in life.

I hope rupi sees and addresses these.. and kinda pump her up too again ke she isn't doing this for anyone this is for her .. as adi ki baatein iske palle nahi padh rahi abhi.. she really has managed to block anything he says no matter how intensely he says it sach main dewar ke baahar kar dia hai kisi bhi matter pe adi ka zor dena isn't getting to Imlie caz she is her doori zone haha sirf akal ki baateon na sunne wale doori she is successfully maintaining 😆

I'm not faulting Adi fully but it has to be factored in ki Adi will always be viewed as a biased party when he tries to talk to Imlie about this.....so it's understandable why Imlie won't believe him.

Also, Adi khud itna gusse and frustration mein worked up hai, he isn't addressing this gently with Imlie....you can't SCREAM your way into healing someone's trauma, right? He soothed her at that press conference dhang se but then all of that again got diverted into him being like "aane do sach baahar".

Imlie needs a woman's perspective here to tell her it's not wrong to have feelings for your own husband and it is her right to be in Adi's life.....that is the role Rupi can play....Adi I guess can't really get it to that extent as a man....he's still more strung up on his own frustrations abhi about not being able to tell the truth.....while Imlie's trauma needs to addressed as a seperate parallel issue.

His frustration with everything has overtaken everything.. inmea he comes from such a good place and I get his being mad too ke ab tum iss baat pe bhi peeche hatt rahi ho caz it is not relevant to anything else happening at home.. but she ghusse main nahi samjha saktam. She anyways has a lot of jehlooing him capacity 🤣 he is in sucha tough spot like I totally get do you not hear anything I say at all.. but yes him being biased party makes her take lesser a notice..

This is the cruz.... She was Ok with the sindoor and the feelings for Aditya as long as it was in their own private world. It did hold a lot of importance to her because of the journey behind it. But then she started seeing that its affecting the outside world especially that person who she had vowed to never take the haq away (not sure what that dialogue was during marriage) and hence her guilt/shame is increasing exponentially. Imlie has never taken anything from anybody even the marriage/sindoor haq. It was always given to her so taking this away from Malini is something that is not sitting well with her. Plus she is not got that moment to sit and reflect on the whole thing. The sindoor drama, Malini leaving the house, Family sad, roopi di revelation and Adi truth naara , all happened so simultaneously ki she is overwhelmed and is now just clutching on that one thing that she thinks will make everything right and that is bringing Malini back.

Plus the other thing is somewhere she is blaming herself because Malini left after her own sindoor drama and Adi taking her side. Hence she is holding herself responsible for it. Imlie is not seeing beyond the picture that is been shown because her own methods are very straightforward and she has never witnessed or knows the backhanded ways of a human minds. Hopefully because of her own experience Rupi Di might be able to see and point it out.

I do not know how they will handle this though. Like she said yesterday that she will fight if it feels right and right now, its not feeling right for her. The main reason is the amount of "bechariness" Malini has been portraying. The only way Imlie will be ready to fight back would be if she sees through the facade or realize that Malini is not right for the family or for Aditya or the relationship between them is not right. For that, the makers would have to bring out Malini's darker shades or show her manipulative personality of victimizing herself. Will they do it because other than that there is no way of Imlie being free from this guilt/shame or am I missing something?
