Spot on analysis. Adi came out as a very practical person. And yes even if Imlie would have left, sooner or later didi and adi would have realised that their marriage won't work. Remember Adi and didi's first fight after the marriage when AC sends the car for didi to go to college.

Adi is thinking practically for Imlie related to her studies. She should not forget, her dream and ambition in life.

Also Imlie is too young so she is not able to see what Adi is saying is right. She has to be mature in the relationship too. Just keeping everyone happy is not going to help.
