I am sorry no attempt at the whitewash can workk they tried giving her a token.. sad monlogue and give sad parents ki sob story but it doesn't work it is as shallow and superficial as the defence statements and does nothing absolutely nothing for her caz yeh sympathy bhi as i say Bheek main maangti hai audience se bhi and Bheek main kuch bhi nahi milta jo genuine ho

I don't think the purpose of her monologue was to generate sympathy. Frankly, I don't know who would feel sympathy for her after today. The purpose was to give an insight into the workings of her mind as her dormant Mrs C comes out. Why she feels the need to bring it out. The purpose was to show to the audience and how delusional and desperate she is when she laments her parents broken relationship and in the same breath thinks invoking her mother's approach will provide a different outcome. It was to show that Malini can justify anything to herself in her delusions...this is the basic streak of her personality. That's what I meant when I said I never felt she was whitewashed...her delusional, manipulating and sweet facade was always kept more obvious to the audience deliberately. I made a reply along the same lines on a previous thread. Her 'benevolence' & 'sweetness' always had undercurrent of upper-class charity like behaviour....That has always been her demeanour, with the Ts', with Adi and with Imlie. It was just more subtle before because Adi gave her what she needed then and now she has dropped it in her desperation because she is losing Adi. There was just never anything genuine about her sadly.

One purpose of this I think was that the writers wanted some time to think about in which direction they will take her character, and they may have made a decision now. Other purpose I think was to subtly reveal to the audience the potential underlying motives behind her behaviour...which other characters are oblivious to. Adi is getting a clue now...and he's always subconsciously known about her class consciousness, but he's going to become aware of her inner Mrs C now.

+1 As we discussed earlier this week too she just cannot stand ke Ek gaoon ki chori has actually amde it so big that too on her own DUm without any recommendations etc and is way ahead ofher in intelligence.. her insecurities on the rise ke agar yeh sach main kuch ban gayi toh didi ki bachi kuchi izzat bhi ahwa ho jaayei of oh Such an imntelligent professor.. she was having issues fromt he very day her result was announced making faces and all and then felt Happiness when imlie messed up at Press con while others felt uneasy she was happy ke bad end hua.. she has been feeling the heat ke Gahr wale has started giving her more attention asn actually started seeing her more as a family memeber.. if yous ee now they treat her exactly like one of them ghar ke kaam bhiitne nahi karti jaise pehle karti thi she is part of a fmaily now i mean pehle bhi thi but pehle yeh khud zyada i am less than you mode main rehti thi.. but ab aur zyada Sync ho gayi hai as their Gharwali.. and all of them giving imlie didi se zyada attention when she was looking ofr someone to play martyr in front of she couldn't handle phir adi also gave her such a big Lecture on why imlie ki success is so important..yeh sach main nahi jhel apaa rahi ke ek ladki jo iske nichle tabke se aayi hai can be smarter than her and do it all on her own independently.. and uski hesiyat bhadh jaayegi hence she has been trying extra hard to break her Confidence and make her success look like such a small thing ruining her happiest days be it the press con with the run down sari and rubbing it in ke Youa re only getting khusiyan ( who says that ) and now her first day of college with being so rude wiping her sindoor using force on her too ..

btw did anyone notice Didi is the only one who hasnt' even Wished her a courteous all the best with family.. meaning she is purposely staying away from imlie ki khushi even more now.. yeah whatever lame naatak she did in front of adi didn't even got registered to him but didi ko suddenly ghar walon ke saamne bhia cha nahi banan tha.. an oppoutunity she missed cahsing upon haha

while i understand what you are saying and agree with you too on the workings of her mind.. i still felt they were trying to give a generic defense statement for her ke oh she is so poor pehle troubled childhood which made her like this and feel for her ow her ghrahsti is ruined too sure i don't feel anything caz mujhe bohat ajeeb sa laga the whole bit and i felt that such a fake Superficial attempt.. but her defendents who are the people who take everything at facevalue will actually take it as oh poor didi way hi.. and which is why i say it was a sad attempt at trying to give a reasoning behind her Behavior..and hardly worked

Now that Meethi has come to know the truth it will be interesting to see how the makers take this forward. Will they reveal the truth to SK as well? Or will Meethi talk with Imlie & Adi on her own & hide the truth from SK. I am expecting to see Meethi-Imlie & also Meethi-Adi convo very soon. Somehow I don't think she will reveal the truth to SK knowing how protective he is of Imlie. I'm keeping expectations low but I also hope for a Meethi-Adi convo. Meethi is samajhdaar, so I think she will understand his POV...But first I hope first she sunaooes him a bit about the fact that he committed bigamy. 😆 Nevertheless, Meethi will still be understandably concerned about Imlie's uncertain marital status due to her own experiences, she won't be able to hide this from SK.

I also don't think Meethi's perspective will change Imlie's mind, no one can change Imlie's mind. She has to understand the crucial point that this situation is not sustainable and that Adi-Malini relationship is not salvageable and that's NOT because of her, maybe that's the purpose of all these fights & tension.

That's what is interesting about the show..the subtlety and layering in the characters. I was totally put off by Malini's fakeness all this while, so I quite enjoyed her monologues and HONESTY today. This show is not for people who take things at face value...

Today episode was highlighting some points...

One adi is fed up that imlie is not supporting him and he desperately needs to say the truth and have a peaceful life with her....Malini is not even in his thoughts.....but as it's rightly said you cannot run away from problems.....u have to face them no matter wat.....once imlie so called faith on Malini falls in pieces then only she is gng to support him.....the way Malini talked was hurtful but was necessary....but still imlie has not come to her senses.....my god this girl is a piece....even adi taunting on Malini behaviour was yummy.....

Second Malini choosing Anu path is making her way to hell....she told she loved a person when he was friend....my dear love is not made nor done,it only happens....which has not yet happen to her....the more she will try to pull adi towards her, he will be pushed towards imlie....love has its own state of mind and heart which never changes.....

The car scene.....adi has noticed the change in Malini.... n sindoor scene....imlie so nicely put sindoor back even after Malini wiped it off ..this girl has faith on her sindoor .. remembered Aparna telling her city people will not understand the village rituals but one should hang on to faith....always ...

Future I would love to see imlie stopping Malini hand from wiping the sindoor and give a piece of mind to her ...I would wait for that scene ....hoping

Oh for sure. Meethi needs to acche se sunao him for that. There is no two ways about it😆.

She needs to let him know how hurt & disappointed she is in him for subjecting Imlie to so much pain & disrespect.

Maybe listening to her mother's pov based on her experience will give her some food for thought.

The actress playing MRs C seems to be taken ill or something (God bless her) or CVs wouldnt have missed the chance of showing her throw that phone yesterday😛arre jyoti ji is perfectly fine doing promotion campaigns on insta for various COllabs and celebrating her bday. they might just be avoiding her for other work commitments and also she really wasn't needed so far.. so ab ek phone scene ke liye kya bulate bechari ko in these haalat
