Virat Chavan is a scumbag, he’s a typical MCP. I can tolerate regular ITV MCPs with traumatic past because they would be reforming gradually but here we have a hypocrite who’s becoming more disgusting the more we watch him.

The house belongs to the wife and husband equally in legal terms. Virat throwing her out means he never loved her, he was just happy to have her as a possession. The min his authority is defied he becomes the worst of worst. Virat throwing out sai is not out of concern for Devi but anger at his wife disobeying his authority. If he was a concerned brother he wouldn’t be sitting at home.

Virat is nothing but a domestic abuser. His mere caring gestures of supporting her for education, feeding food aint enough. He threw a 18Yo orphan out of his house at midnight and asked her to go to GC where she was sexually harassed. Not even the worst of ML’s will do that. He has fallen too low. He’s an MCP and domestic abuser.

Not cancelling him yet though but he shouldn’t have been shown as an ACP.

Seriously if another family member defied kaku or him, would he throw them out like this? No right? But it's Sai who is actually an easy target because he doesn't actually see her as a member of the family even though he claims he wants to make her part of his family. When he is happy with her and wants sai near him he refuses to let her go to GC reminding her of risk of her sexual harasser Jagtap and his father being there still.... yet he doesn't remember that risk to her life and dignity when he is mad at her so he asks her to go back to GC where she came from? 🤢 It's actually appalling when you see the behaviour and words of Virat towards Sai.

He is a shame on the name of ACP an absolute insult to the profession. I can't even look at his face when he cried or makes claims of love for Sai 🤮🤮🤮

I have said in the past that this notion of Sai having to always remember her debt to Virat for all the things he has done for her, which he reminds her of anytime he is displeased with her is only going to act as an anchor that would weigh down any efforts of Virat to try and form a proper marital relationship with Sai the way he desires.

He is the one who told Sai before marrying her to not have any expectations of a husband-wife relationship with him as his heart belongs to someone else, yet he is the one to first acknowledge that he wants a proper marital relationship with her, yet if she does anything to defy him he brings up the favours he has done for her, which isn't right as a married couple's relationship should not be formed on the the basis of indebtment, but love, respect and trust, and a wife should be able to feel comfortable with her husband, and not as if he owns her now and full obedience is expected of her.

It is in no way a marriage of equals when Virat by constantly saying that makes her feel less of a wife to him by reminding her of favours he has done, and by doing so, trying to tell her she should be obedient to him always to repay those favours. Is that the kind of marriage he wants with Sai? Where he makes her feel like she owes him and so she should be careful to never do anything against his wish?

Kaku gang can insult her on a daily basis, still he will stay mum like some imbecile who got stuck in a coffin and can't make sounds. Throwing his 18th year old wife was not enough, he let someone who is not his mom disrespect his real mom every now and then and get a free pass every single time. I seriously hope after truth revelation, his mom and wife stay away from him for quite some time. Like someone above said,no child will tolerate their mom being disrespected like this.

Seriously it isn't enough that his mother is disrespected by his father and other family members in front of him and he barely reacts or says anything most of the time, but when he himself joins in accusing and insulting his mother by questioning her motives behind siding with Sai or shutting her voice down as if he is the father and his mother is a kid seems repulsive. And that one time when Sai scolded Virat for speaking rudely to his mother all he could do was scream at Sai and tell her who is she to tell him how to speak to his mother 🤬 Yeah Virat, you're that bad of a son that your 18 years old wife has to tell you how to treat your mother, but I guess it's because she grew up without a mother so she doesn't take having your mother in her life for granted the way you do when you forget how to speak to your mother just because you don't like her siding with Sai against you.

He never questions the authority and control of kaku or baba but will explode like a volcano on Aai, mohit or sai. Please don’t label that as sense if belongingness. It’s because he knows they are somehow lower or weaker than him

@Bold- THIS! 👏 He is so obedient and respectful with his father and kaku and careful how he speaks to them or even sonali, omkar and pakhi no matter how appallingly they speak or act with his wife and mother or anybody else, but my god he is not careful with how he speaks to family members like his mother, Mohit and shivani just for merely siding with Sai against him.

And like you said, sense of belonging is a rubbish excuse for the way he behaved rudely with select members of the family, because didn't he initially say he thought of his dad as his hero, indicating he had a very close bond with his father always? So where does his sense of belonging go when majority of the times he either keeps quiet on his dad's behaviour towards his mother or wife, or even if he speaks up to his dad he does not speak to his dad in the tone or words he speaks with his mother when she sides with Sai against him?

And the number of times Pakhi has thrown horrid accusations or rude insults at Sai and he doesn't raise his voice at Pakhi, yet when Mohit merely responded to Pakhi saying not everybody is against Sai, he spoke to Mohit so rudely in defense of Pakhi. Similar behaviour comes about many times of Virat when failing to raise his voice at Pakhi in front of Sai to defend Sai, but raises his voice at Sai right in Pakhi's presence and yells at Sai not to insult Pakhi when it is Sai saying something to Pakhi even in just defense or reply to an insult thrown at her by Pakhi. What is this behaviour?

The only reason can be that he finds Mohit, Aai, Shivani, Sai all weaker than him and easy targets coz he knows these 4 tend to be targets of Kaku and the other horrid members of Chavans, so he too in his anger turns into the likes of his Kaku, father, and his uncle and aunty omkar-sonali in joining in to insult and target those who tend to be the usual targets of anger in the house and the ones who hold least leverage and respect in the house.

It's like learned behaviour by observing his more dominating members of the family and how they treat the more subservient and down-trodden members of the family that just because of his Job as a police officer and earning member of the family he too holds respect and leverage in the house and can treat those lesser respected members the same when his anger is out of control.

I think there is little doubt left in anyone’s minds about Virat Chauhan’s nature, he is a despicable man.

There is no return from this.

No matter how much SAIRAT fans may want to now say look even Sai has faults.

She should not have made a tamasha in front of the world, she should have done this, that etc etc

But that’s the cop out Cvs have written to make up for our weak sensibilities to look at this from a Sai vs Virat vs Sai angle.

I think we waste our time trying to justify actions of fictitious characters written by regressive minds

We do it because we are those type of personalities who try and justify everything in our lives

Or because we ourselves oscillate between what is gushing and how can I gush over this

Or we are the types who once we get on something, we have to see it through. Even if frankly it’s not really qualitatively worth it.

Or somewhere somehow we do relate to certain aspects,

it may be something happening to us or someone we know

and for some inexplicable reason we seem to think by watching what will happen we will know how it may translate in real life

And all of the above are excuses.

This is a show

If it’s honestly taking up more than necessary brain cells

We have got to stop watching it

No matter how much you justify

No matter how much you analyze

It’s regressive

And frankly it’s not even enjoyable anymore

The fact is Virat IS abusive... Throwing your wife out of the house, denying her food, reprimanding and insulting her in front of the entire family, attempting to lock her inside the house so she cannot step out, forcefully holding her wrist in an attempt to stop her and then asking for an apology with tears in his eyes so that she wouldn't leave doesn't make him any better than your typical, next-door abuser.

No matter how angry or hurt one is, such physical and mental abuse IS INEXCUSABLE. People trying to justify his actions are indirectly advocating such behavior for men to their wives even in the real world.

Watching the show is alright. I solely believe that recreational fiction should be meant only for entertainment and not for educational purpose. A tv show/movie can't alter the regressive mindset of people, for better OR for worse. We should watch fiction as fiction. The problem begins when educated people like ourselves start pardoning such abuse.

Instead of whitewashing Virat Chavan after his actions, the makers can call him out for what he is. Deviant, grey, brainwashed, abusive, a mental abuse victim for decades along with someone who honest, loyal, loving and faithful. Men like Virat will make terrible husbands in real life but a great character in fiction. Our world is infinitely different from this make-believe world and majority of the people watch fiction as an escape from the reality. If Jamie Lannister can have a redemption arc, so can Virat Chavan. But ITV is stuck between black and white and is hell-bent of painting grey characters as white.

Well said.

The problem is a redemption arc or any arc is a tough ask from ITV

They will make him into a blithering idiot who joins his hands and apologizes

And her into a mahaan woman

Because there is no in between way of writing for Cvs

Anyways..liked reading your take
