Er, not sure we need to bring "toxic masculinity" into everything. Nobody digs men wearing skirts and dresses, and that's absolutely okay.

What about

  • Kilts
  • Togas
  • Lungis
  • Tunics
  • Robes

And all other non-bifurcated garments worn by men for centuries? Even the manliest men like Henry VIII wore tights and tunics.

Why have the past couple hundred years of bifurcated male garments clouded our perception of what men should wear? Maybe you don't dig men wearing skirts or dresses, but there are plenty who think it's perfectly acceptable. Fashion perceptions and clothing change over time. We're at a turning point in fashion where non-bifurcated garments are becoming more and more acceptable for men. Today we consider it gender-bending, tomorrow it might as well be considered normal menswear.

This guy is single handedly educating people and trying to open their closed minds towards gender fluid clothes! He might go on to impact Indian fashion scene more than any designer worth their salt.

G$$$ mein dam hai.

He wants to be known as a fashion icon like his cousin Sonam lol in my opinion he looks funny in every outfit he wears. The American rapper ASAP wears women clothes and purses but he looks cool like a fashion person. Rs on the other looks like dp from the bottom haha does he want to be exactly like dp . She has bad taste with men for sure

1. Who decides what is feminine or masculine in clothes? Stockings used to be a thing for men a century ago. The Indian dhoti is mocked as a skirt by many in the West. Is that also okay? In my teenage, I loved wearing jeans. I was mocked for it in india because *women don't wear pants.* I don't believe that was okay.

2. Crossdressing is a thing. If he or anyone else wants to dress like women usually do, more power to them. Only thing is to be mindful of the field of work. You can't really do that as a doctor. But he is in showbiz, so why not?

P.S. A little goodnatured teasing is not the same as outright namecalling and taunting.

Why do they deserve trolling? Why can’t you just let people be?

Transgenders always let the world know that they're transgender. You can always tell if somebody might be trans by the way they behave or appear.

Are you trying to say Ranveer might be trans? If that's the case, then no use arguing really.

Also, if you seriously expect a man to step out on the streets wearing a skirt or a saree and people NOT to stare or laugh, then I'm afraid you're living in a fool's paradise. Not happening. Not happening, sorry. There's something called knee-jerk reaction.

You can call people all the names you want, but you cannot stop people from expressing themselves over something that is still an anomaly in the society. Calling everyone homophobic for finding men wearing skirts funny is unrealistic and judgmental as hell.

Kilts, togas and lungis have always been regarded as menswear, for CENTURIES. Nothing gender-fluid or revolutionary about them.

Also, nobody will call Henry VIII feminine because of his clothing. Everything has a context.

Wearing a skirt-like robe in a past century (which was considered manly clothing at that time) is not the same as wearing clothing considered manifestly feminine today.

Wow toxicity n the idea of fitting the genders in their box. It's so entertaining to see such reactions just because it doesn't fit your idea of gender defined styles ,👏👏

I don’t know what Ranveer is nor do I care. I will still not appreciate people making homophobic jokes on him nor anybody else who wear clothes that they don’t ‘dig’. Just like I will not appreciate and will call out the people making rape threats on women because according to them they deserved it for wearing the so called ‘revealing clothes’. If it is called being judgmental, then heck I rather be that than going around making homophobic comments and making lives difficult for other people just because I don’t ‘dig’ what they were wearing.
