Work from home has definitely worsened my anxiety and stress. Like, work wasn't so bad when you are working in a team, because even if work is bad, there are other positives to makeup for it: sharing tea/coffe breaks, exchanging banter and gossip, bitching about your boss, playing TT, foosball and other games on Fridays, celebrating birthdays/weddings of team members, going on team outings every quarter. All that is gone now.

Even simple things like asking your co-workers for help with silly things at work seem to have become complicated. It's different when you ask for help in person than over phone/text.

And yeah, my productivity has also taken a hit. I keep procrastinating as much as possible. Like I sleep during the day, watch Netflix during office hours, and go crazy as deadline approaches. I wouldn't be doing all this if I were in office and surrounded by colleagues, you know?

I have thought about quitting my job a lot.. but the thought of not having a job and being stuck at home makes me even more miserable. So I dare not even think of quitting.

Obviously beyond work there is not much going on. Dating scene is out of the window (I did try online dating but it was so pointless and such a waste of time). Also, as adults there isn't that much to talk to your family to. I mean, what is there to talk about when your life is stuck in a seemingly never ending loop? I am mostly locked in my room for most of the day.

Okay, I admit my life wasn't awesome even before Covid either. But it wasn't this bad!!

Would suggest , on a general note mind you , learning & habituating Mindfulness/Breathing techniques (in conjunction with re-aligning belief patterns & lifestyle for the better) as a first line of action over anything else (including anxiolytics) before/in case it gets out of hand..

And quite sure it being a typo..In fact , it has to be football (even if it sound bit infeasible in office set up)..Since the other thing sounds super crazzy !

Thanks for your kind words and response!❣

I knew something was wrong from my parents hence I had to take help. I am happy with this decision. Just that it takes a little budget out of earnings but I feel better with the medications and the doctor is understanding too.

I feel you’ll be fine. You seem like a strong person socially. 👍🏼

I feel like we are living in a bubble in Au as life is back to normal here. It is a bit worrying to ponder what will happen when the very strict travel restrictions are eased and travel is opened to the world.

Most Australians are being offered the Astra Zeneca and I can't help wondering how efficacious that is going to be against all the new variants we will be exposed to.

Mental health wise this has been the hardest time of my life. I swing between being over protective about my 10 year old and feeling like a terrible mom since my son has barely met his friends in the last year. My parents in India are all alone. They are completely vaccinated but I have been hearing stories about vaccinated people in India getting infected as well. I miss my friends but I am terrified of crowds or gatherings. My anxiety goes from zero to a hundred instantly. Everything on social media or the news triggers me but I can’t seem to stay off. I sometimes feel like I am so close to a mental breakdown

Only good part is saving long commute hours with wfh but now I don’t mind commute also lol , getting tired now and I’m hoping that normalcy returns soon with vaccination and people being bit more responsible with following protocols 🙏🏻

Living in Australia too. A few patients have come back with adverse reactions to Astra Zeneca. In fact, one young international student had bruises all over her arms and legs in response to the vaccine. Honestly, fcuk that with a capital F.
