We know of a young couple who is leaving the U.S. this summer. The husband will be completing his 6 years of H1 now, and he deliberately did not process his green card.

They want to prepare a list of things to do / a list of places to see here in the U.S. before they leave for good. Their list includes Sky Diving, seeing a concert (they have done that now), Seeing the shuttle and watching the U.S. open.

Any ideas?

Hi MettiOli---I would also suggest if they have the chance to check out New York City--specifically the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Also, they might want to check out Disney World in Florida----a must-see place in the U.S. Niagra Falls is also a nice and beautiful place.

Are they leaving later on in the summer? b/c the U.S. Open (tennis tournament) is usually held in late August--Early September.

Flordia is a great place to visit. The main attraction is DisneyWorld but they also have some great beaches in Miami and Tampa. Plus, the Kennedy Space Center is also near Orlando. New York has a ton of attractions- too many to list- Ellis Island, Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Metroplitian Museum of Art, Times Square, Central Park, United Nations. Atlantic City, NJ is also a great place to visit- the boardwalk is really nice and they always have nice events going on. Washington D.C. if you want to visit the capital. Hope this helped!

Thanks. This is for a young couple (no kids) who have spent the last 4 years here and have several places. I will pass on your lists to them. Thanks again.
