• Movie was supposed to be released early however was delayed for 2 years due to financial issues of producer.

I heard that camps started avoiding her when she was the only bollywood person who had the guts to tell the police and provide evidence against the Bollywood- underworld nexus. Apparently lots of the people said they would support the investigation, but in the last minute, she was the only one who stood up.

That was in early 2003 when she was filming Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. She did Lakshya with Hrithik/ Fahran and Veer-Zaara with SRK/Yash right after that so she wasn't avoided. Rakesh (who was shot), SRK and Salman were the big three who dropped out of testifying against threats and extortion.

I remember this one very vaguely.
But it seems this was not the reason then.

But I do wonder because it says a lot about her.
We know how bollywood camps treat women who are this independent. Khud toh fattu hotey hai, they really can’t handle such women.

I also know that she managed her own finances and didn’t have an entourage, which often annoyed women like Rani and Kareena

I am no big fan of her, because I didn’t watch many of her movies, but I must say she comes across as a strong woman.
