Imlie ke liye definitely it's going to become more difficult cuz end of the day, she also wants to be with her Babusahib....so she is battling both apne dil ki awaaz as well as his for the sake of not hurting Malini. But she will have to realize in the long term ki Malini waise hi hurt hoti rahegi even if Imlie doesn't stay with Adi or doesn't stay in the house. It's definitely going to be a clash of wills between her and Adi and I hope it continues to be written interestingly as it has been so far.

The thing is also that Aditya is more practical and Imlie is more emotional and where rishta are concerned, Imlie's fundas are very basic. "Rishta hain to nibhana hain"....But practically, sometimes its not possible especially when a person heart is not into it. This is what she needs to realize and Aditya needs to explain to her that, a relationship can become an "abhshaap" if a person's heart is not in it, not because of some other rishta. Such a relationship just ends up hurting everybody around and in such cases its better to break a rishta than continue it. She also needs to realize that keeping Malini in the dark is an injustice to her and though Aditya is willing to not break his vachan, Malini also needs to have a say in this matter. Aditya and Imlie cannot decide on their own because in the end not telling the truth is going to hurt everyone more than telling it. Its going to be clash of wills between telling the truth and not and Aditya needs her on his side. He cannot do this battle alone, he cannot face his family alone especially if Imlie is also on the other side. But lets see how circumstances come into play here.

Ironically, the person who was dead set against not telling the truth would be the one who would be forcing the issue now 😆

By the end of it all, I think the core is - Imlie cannot say No to her BS. Both of them want to be with each other and Aditya has a tad bit more practicality on his side so he will get her to understand why the situation is wrong. Ghar waapas aana was a trailer of how things will work between them. Until time comes, baaki tamashe toh bahut saare hone hain.

Waise, tashan barabar ki hai dono taraf. Bas Imlie ki mahaanta has to reduce thoda sa where Malini is concerned 😆

It's such a beautiful depiction of saath/togetherness....willingly doing something for someone, being with them without any sense of obligation.

Sometimes even in love, people feel obligated to do things they don't like....but in Adi's case, his love for Imlie doesn't make him do things out of obligation...it's like he feels this need to just be a part of everything that is important to her, that makes her happy....like whatever makes her happy, now automatically makes him happy too....and it's as simple as that.

And then yes, the extra poignance of Imlie never asking for anything of him and still getting this happiness....it just warms your heart :)

@bold - so much this. Once he realized his own happiness happens to reside in Imlie, it was as though a switch went off within him. Such clarity is under appreciated at times. And people start to think it was too sudden etc etc. but it was not at all hasty. He started living now, after all these years. Because of Imlie.

And it is not as though they were thinking about all these other firsts when they were running around playing Holi. It dawned on them only after the whole Malini nautanki at home. It so nicely brought out that they value the relationship more than anything else.

So everyone is probably already aware of my distaste for Malini’s character but felt that this needed to be pointed out. The thread is so long that I’m pretty sure it’s already been discussed in between somewhere too 😆

Malini’s reaction upon seeing Aditya in colors was an amplified reaction of the one she demonstrated when he came back drenched from the rain. She immensely disliked the fact that he did something she had pointedly asked him to guard himself against - getting wet in the rain. His nonchalance to her question that day must have turned something up in her that she stopped defending Imlie with Aditya that day onwards. Until then she was the one always pointing out what Imlie was challenging him to do.

Not telling him about what she wanted aside, she wanted him to not play Holi with anyone else because SHE had given up on playing for the last 7 years. She never loved the man. Maybe cared about him a bit. But it all boiled down to having control over him.

Lost count of the number of times I have seen the episode, you know the parts I am talking about. 🤣

I noticed how controlled and clever BS is. When he threw the brahmastra at Imlie, that he would move in with her. He knew that Imlie would agree immediately and she did that. When she replied that she would return with him, he did not display his happiness even by a flicker.😆 He must have been laddoo phootoing inside, he is a clever one. When she stepped closer to him and said that she had a condition, he did not even miss a beat and instead asked her in a slightly irritated fashion, that Imlie is familiar with - tell me now, what is the condition?

Guess Adi had played out the scenario in his head and was fully armed to return with Imlie or else. His past 2 attempts failed, at PD and at the bus stop. So this was the 3rd attempt and out came the Brahmastra, no chance of failure. Guess he thought of a plan when he was hugging the sindoor wala shirt.

Again, he let himself smile, a slight one at that, when Imlie's back was turned. He does not want to jeapardize it at any cost. wah wah.. well done BS. 👏He is a heck of a smooth operator, the song by Sade comes to mind.. 90's wala gaana. Also when Imlie tells him, these are not her clothes, I think the way fought back a laughter was cute... His facial expressions were too good.

Off late, since the PD episodes, we have gotten a lot of episodes where we have a close up shots of the leads face during the scene. The hand holding or arm grabbing is all implied. This is unique and have not seen a show where the focus is so much on the actors face. This is even more enjoyable as these two ace every scene ❤️ and the others too.

Nazar utharoes for the show and esp for Adilie. ☯️ This is the symbol as Fary pointed out.

I just love love the styling of imlie during the Holi scene, the fish tail braid and the pulled back hair with her simple fuss free look and salwars. She had minimal to no make up, no false lashes, no lipstick... yes still looked so beautiful. It is very refreshing to see the actors in 'Normal' clothes unlike the OTT hair n makeup seen in most ITV shows. ☯️

I do like how Malini is styled except for the shiny plain saris..Wish she wears some lovely linen type saris with some prints. She has some gorgeous earrings and dig those. 😃

+1.....to me also it just crystallized in yesterday's scene that this was exactly what it was. Someone else also mentioned somewhere kal ki Malini treats Adi like he's her 7 year investment and she damn well deserves a return on this investment😆....as if rishte nahin, koi stock market ka khel hai. This sense of entitlement in her behavior.....ki Adi agar Holi khele, baarish mein bheege, award jeete....toh sab sirf MALINI ke saath kare warna he's in the doghouse. So how is it love if you can't bear the person you love experiencing any joy unless it's on your terms?

I remember you said for a few epis earlier in the week or last week that it's uncomfortable to watch the complications of the situations sometimes.....to me, what's actually uncomfortable and disturbing to watch is the way Malini manages to guilt trip people so horribly all with a surface level sweet face.....she just cannot think beyond herself, period. Koi khayaal nahin tha ki Imlie bhi bas ek kind gesture kar rahi thi of trying to wish her for Holi with a little color....basic courtesy hi hoti hai ki lagvaa lo, but isko sirf sabke saamne jataana tha how much Adi has let her down etc. etc.....the Kismat line also was more of the same nonsense ki dekho main abhaagan, mere pati ka rang nahin lagaa.....and it gets worse when they start playing that maha tragedy wala music for the guilt creeping into Adi's eyes as he bends down to pick up the sindoor bottle.....poore ghar ka maahaaul maatam jaisa all cuz of this one lady.....and it grates on me like anything that they try to portray her as a tragedy queen when her behavior is totally going into a more obviously petty and retaliatory zone.

I took some caps of that scene....to me Adi initially did look upset over how Malini treated Imlie there....but then the guilt trip rained down and tragedy music started so I can't say from that point on if he was feeling weighed down by Didi ka guilt again.....lol

I know the writers want to glorify her as much as possible as the one bechaari victim in all this but I hope they at some point address the way she is sucking the life out of jeete jaagte log all around her.

Word about Imlie's styling even on tyohaar it was so classy her dress has little sparkly things on it but still so normal.. and her beauty really lies in simplicity

I slightly disagree with adi'a move being a well thought of from before.. I still feel.it happened in the moment and it legit happened she tum aa rahi ho ya main rukoon after all other bahanas were rejected by her😆 It really didn't feel like adi pehle se work up karke aaya tha ke.yeh boloonga tohbaisa Higa aisa toh aisa.. just my thinking 😆

LOL sudden and hasty? But have people not watched Adi all this time? He's a guy who doesn't hesitate to follow through on his emotions the moment he gets clarity. And Imlie IS clarity to him....he's never had clarity about anything in life before as much as he has clarity about what Imlie means to him.

Toh jab pata chal jaaye WHAT you want in life for the very first time in all these years, why would you not jump into it wholeheartedly? And that's exactly what Adi is doing.....Imlie is his light and joy...the key to unlocking his expressiveness...toh woh Imlie ke saath expressive nahin hoga toh phir kab hoga? 😆

There are just no airs between them of doing faltu ka drama or playing coy na....even if they try to deflect in answering some questions, woh emotions ki honesty and clarity always gets maintained....that is their USP.....that is why they don't need to make a big deal of any firsts or yeh waali cheez se prove karo main important hoon blah blah....bas flow mein kar lete hain jo bhi karna hai and woh apne aap significant ho jaata hai. Some relationships have that noor about them that shines through without any attempt to hype it or raise its importance.....they are one of those.

Same....I don't think he planned all that out😆....impulse mein bol raha tha jo bhi bol raha tha....saam daam dand bhed mode chal raha tha but it wasn't some sochi samjhi chaal.....lol...he's just naturally reckless when he comes down to being relentless in his pursuit of something😆.

Yeah he was happy later when it all worked out and iski Jhalli Queen maan gayi but woh khushi isliye thi ki kisi tarhaan maan gayi....not for some grand "plan" of his working😆....itna bhi high level ka planner nahin hai yeh banda😆.....aadha toh Luck se hi kaam ban jaata hai iska😆

Oh this I've also noticed and I quite appreciate that too.....they don't do the typical kind of close up shots of hand holding, eyelocks or just being closer to each other as is done in most ITV shows.....inka treatment is notably different in the way the direction captures that closeness between their characters....I think last we had discussed it during that recent dance they did in PD....at the end of it looked like Imlie had her head on his shoulder ever so slightly but woh itna focus karke nahin dikhaya and it was just implied.....which is precisely why it was more effective.

Woh sense of intimacy is all conveyed through their body language without even always getting up in each other's face or holding each other super close....uske bawajood there is this amazing intensity in their chemistry.....wohi old school waali baat hai na phir....that's how it used to be in the old movies and those were such intense pairs.
