He really is! This is clearly his first time actually liking someone. The way he said he was feeling so uncomfortable and was questioning how he could get so attached to someone yesterday, it's clear that this is his first time ever opening up to someone. I guess in some ways, the fact that they both went through intense trauma together with the ragging, Aastha getting shot, Aastha going missing, and then the riots, it makes sense to a degree why they are falling so intensely and quickly. Glad love hasn't been used yet and it's only like so far. Because it is reasonable to start to like someone after 22 days but they need to learn more about each other to start to love each other!

Yeah they will get to know each other well before falling head over heels in love.

The kahaani doesn’t end just in the middle Shaurya and Anokhi’s kahaani has to go through so many chapters of life , love, angst, passion, feeling of betrayal, MUs, longing and being together fighting with all odds.
I have seen and learnt one thing that love stories which developed during the time of trauma or from pain is more stronger than anything.n it stands the test of times and can stand tall during all the tides..

This was me. When watching the whole Aastha/Shaurya interactions, and having Shaurya's abandonment issue showcased like that broke my heart.

His dad showing up to campus to help Anokhi, but not for Shaurya.

His mom showing up to campus to fight for Anokhi, but not for Shaurya.

Poor boy!

Isn't it great that the love story is not what got us hooked?

Am I being biased in saying that I have never seen a show emphasise so much on the emotional depth of an ML?

TBH I feel like it also has to do with the fact that KV emotes it really well I think. For example I think that KRPKAB also emphasized Dev's pain really well and it was easy to get attached to his character but it's rare to see. Usually I feel like they just throw some sort of heartbreak to justify why the ML is an douche. But here the emotional depth is well captured and the moments don't feel artificial or forced when they show them. In another show it is absolutely possible that we would have seen him go off on her and then they would have just thrown this scene in to make us be like aww but he's broken. I think in this show they struck that balance really well where it doesn't feel like they are showing us his emotional vulnerability just to whitewash him or as a cop out of actual growth!
