Patralekha thought Virat didn't even save her number. So she was not important enough for him that he will save her number that she had given him with so much love and dreams. It wasn't that he didn't recognise her voice.

That promise was a stupid thing. But he did make a promise. I don't think he did anything wrong by marrying Sai. It wasn't cheating as in relationships. But he did break the promise and her trust. I'm not saying she wasn't wrong. What she did with his brother was horrible. They both are equally wrong. I had dedicated a whole post about that. But I take it as a cheating from Patralekha's perspective as he broke that promise. But that promise was meant to be broken. So as a viewer I don't mind.

Edited: I also don't see him as the other negative male leads.
