Does anyone remember this scene?

The Sabharwal sisters are clicking pictures on the terrace. Kanchan arrives with kheer and the sisters start mocking her. Then Shaurya steps in and tells off the girls which shows that he has a basic idea on how to talk to his sister in law with respect. After the sisters leave, he tells Kanchan to tell him if they bother her again. But Kanchan tells him that she could have talked to them on her own. As soon as she says this, Shaurya's gentlemanly demeanour is gone immediately. He replies,"par maine baat kar liya na" with a tone of finality suggesting that there is no need for Kanchan to do anything herself if Shaurya is willing to help.

I feel like this scene flew under the radar as a lot of fans didn't watch the initial episodes due to lack of Shakhi scenes. But it struck a chord with me since nearly all women have experienced this.

There's so much that the makers can do with this. I'm glad for all these little moments that we got so far. They can keep tackling this issue too if they want. I really hope they do. That's what got me hooked to this show. The initial episodes are so beautifully made, especially Shaurya's character.

So true! There are lot of scenes that flew under the radar.. minor details, but I like how they tie it together allowing us to peek into the character’s head 😁 .. even Devi interjecting between car scene was akin to Deba celebrating her admission into SIAC while Shaurya was plotting to get her out.

Another one I can recall is when Shaurya sent his driver to escort Anokhi out of the police station but she refused and Shaurya got so mad when Makhan told him that she preferred to stay in the police station itself..... He was "bestowing" a favour which she should have just gratefully accepted.

Ohh yess...

There were many instances where his saviour complex was out....

He is a mild sophisticated MCP no doubt...

He believes in men having certain privileges to women..

Shaurya also has that male entitlement too. I hope Anokhi won't back down when ever it's her turn to fight this.
