It was an interesting movie and that revelation sent chills down my spine too cuz I hadn't seen it coming at all. Considering that most of the bollywood horror flicks end up looking like an unintentional comedy, this movie did something right.😆

I also love that song, Labon ko labon pe saja do, but I only tune in to the audio.

First time i watched this movie, I was scared out of my mind. Couldn’t sleep.

Then at new year’s, cablewala played this movie on his channel. Same thing happened. Couldn’t sleep.

Then comes March, I get chicken pox, something (the pox maybe) possessed me and I decided to watch this movie (on DVD). I watched the damn thing almost everyday. Mera horror movies ka darr kaafi nikal gaya thanks to this.😆

The delirium caused from the Pox must have instilled some kind of serious courage boost for you 😆. I have always watched horror movies even as a child but it was only Vampire movies and Chucky. When I watched the Exorcist at 8 years of age, I suddenly was exposed to the concept of demonic possession. Knowing that a demon can enter a body scared me so much, that I couldn't sleep for 3 months straight. Apart from being creeped out in Bhool Bhulaiya, the only other two movies that terrified me after was 1920 (the first one) and The Conjuring.

Now if Vidya even stares at the screen, I get scared from her. She even terrified me in the Mast Kalandar song. 🤣

Ami Je Tomar is undoubtedly a tour de force in its own right but I found that first scene when they invoke the spirit equally spooky, you know, when it's already possessed her but hasn't come out fully yet ... I think it's the one below, I'm pretty sure I was clutching onto something/someone by then.😆

Absolute classic, it became the hit it was because of the casting. Comic timing of all the cast was impeccable.

Akshay was amazing and Vidya, less said is better. For people like me who never watched the original South Indian movie, Vidya’s Ami je tomar avatar was completely shocking and scary 😳

One of my most favorite movie!!

Yes it was a really lovely film . But the fact that it wasnt an original script does deduct some points though. But anyways Vidya was fantastic in it. She scared the heck outta me🤣

One thing though. How accurate was the mental disorder dephction?Because in my opinion the way they showed it getting cured was not realistic I doubt that happens irl like that.

Horror-comedy, psychological thriller, and Priyadarshan's quintessential quirky touch makes it very watchable and Akshay is excellent, he even outshines Vidya in this particular movie.

I believe the movie was a huge hit, but somehow people don't give it the cult status it deserves. I think it's right there among Priyadarshan's best.

I know I thoroughly enjoyed it in the theatre, even though the second half dragged a bit, but the performances were sincere and gleaming with intelligence.

I think it's a better movie than Stree.

Thoughts on this movie?

@bold really i felt the exact opposite. I felt he was trying to be subtle and not to subtle acting then going ham in comedy. I guess i have seen original with Mohanlal innumberable times. The nuances that he brought in the movie were hardly there in Akki baba's performance.

For me Vidya, paresh and that mami character stole the show

coming to Vidya - She could never match Shobana but alt east she was the second best out there followed by Soundarya and Jyotika

How many of them remember BB as Akshay movie but almost everyone remember monjulika
