Every kind of movie has its place. 'Content' has become one of the most abused word like 'organic'.
Except for a very small minority (maybe some art lovers, litrature lovers and people who like to informally study cinema in terms of cultural/historical context) do not even go and watch a lot of these in the movie theatres...I doubt a lot of these so called 'content' lovers even watch cinema in the Movies.
Amazon will go whereever money is... Cinema is just entertainment even for the most educated...except for the virtue signalling folks very few have problems with commercial cinema.
No one talks of how a lot of audience for whom watching a movie is a solitary experience...these people also mostly fall in the cusp of 'content' viewers. They watch the movie after an year of releasing even in OTT platform forget about theatres and you will see them tweet how the movie is underrated since they never knew it existed . Even corporate financers cannot afford it let alone individual financiers.
