Reposting from the other thread

It also led up nicely - did not come out of nowhere - we just kept discounting because of the usual ITV workflow.

He missed her, yelled at Ac, rode his bike in the rain for her, bought her a red outfir for V day, apologized - reacted diff to Mun's accident than Imlis', saved her over Mun, took her to his room, sees her saving his life and craves her comfort at that time, watches her walk away, bus scene, total despair after that, going the day after to PG after lying, going to her home while questioning why its his marzi, staying at her home, saying he will eat from her plate, hiding the snake bite, wanting to do rigth by her for the exams under all odds, recalling the past, the sindoor miss - why are people feeling this all came out of left center....in reality do you need more than this for it to flash in your inward mind that 'Imli' is your pasand. People are so conditioned by ITV that takes multiple episodes for some understanding to dawn that when it happens organically they feel it came out of nowhere. Adi being Adi will of course now try to tell himself of all the reasons why he cannot let his mind accept the truth and go back to Mun - but after a part of him realizing the truth. Much more real story.

I loved how his alter ego danced...and how the real Adi wished he could go and join in the happy dance. The dance was warranted...Adi's acknowledging in some dimension the truth needed expression, and it was good they did not overdo.

I am not even touching the alter ego part.... I am still trying to process my thoughts on that. I was just talking about the sindoor scene. That physical connection and those words was out of nowhere at that point. I mean just that morning he said that it was galat and then suddenly pulling her close and those words, it just did not gel. May be because there was no question or regret, after that on his side and hence I found it odd. Till date after every scene, he questions himself on what am I saying or what and why am I doing or asserts that it’s only Moon for him but after this scene, he did not and hence I guess, I found it weird.

Even with alter ego, at the end, he asserted that no, it’s only Moon and everything else is rubbish. So the sindoor scene did seem out of blue to me because I was taken aback and left wondering if this is actually Aditya😊

It felt too sudden to me and despite liking the discussion it didn't left the impact it should have caz of mistiming and the the random dance totally undoing any little Impact that scene has on me any other day I would have been so giddy about the 2 things as you said might work as standalone not in the mkx

But here on I see more of morality war of adi with himself

I feel it's a mix of the timing and editing.....also this sudden jump from the exam related high drama to this also didn't fully flow for me.....like I was expecting an Adi-Imlie convo on the way back but I didn't quite expect it to escalate into him being impulsive enough to hold her hand over his heart like that....and chalo woh akela big thing hota in the epi toh I'd still have been like ok things are shifting.....but then it moved on to the alter-ego scene today also which as you said was a BIG shift and deserved center-stage on its own....that friggin SNAKE got more mileage and build up than such a big turning point😆.

Wohi DILEMMA hai humaare liye bhi (like Adi had a DILEMMA today :P).....ki we liked the content of the alter-ego scene but there was too much happening before and after to fully process it😆.

I did like the dance scene more on a rewatch.....touching tha how Adi's alter ego depicted his yearning to break free and just bask in the simple joy of being with Imlie.....they did get the simplicity and sweetness of the moment right.

Agreed on the upcoming moral dilemma coming up for Adi.....I feel he will accept his feelings in this extra day he's spending in PD and then will try to go back and tell Malini....but will fail to do it once again just like he failed to tell her about the marriage last time and lied since she got an anxiety attack. Uske baad shuru hoga moral dilemma of trying to step back from the feelings he's realized and trying to do right by Malini I think.

1) Adi's alter ego warning him that now that he's realized he likes Imlie, he needs to go tell Malini or it will be a bigger dhoka for her.

Me thinks Adi will try to tell Malini and it will be a repeat of her anxiety attack situation so he will back off and maybe again say he was joking with her😆

2) His alter ego dismantling all his bullshit about coming to PD to "khatam karo" everything when Imlie had already ended everything with him in the bus scene😆

3) The "Sach toh yeh hai ki tum Imlie ke bina jeena bhool gaye ho" line.....that was a good one

4) The "Jis ladki ko tum apni zindagi mein koi jagah nahin dena chahte the, usne tumhare dil mein jagah banaa li hain" line.

Yup I liked the alter ego reminding him of baat khatam rishta khatam and adi squirming a bit again over there..😆 and then ke the impossible have happened the jagah has been made regardless of his marzi on no it tied up his earlier thought of how he was unseeing her charm and magic before and couldn't realize how she is like magic rain..😆

That was hard-hitting ke adi ko kuch andaza nahi hai ke he can't survive without imlie jaise hi jaati hai he ends up following her everywhere like her shadow.. matlab exam hall tak chala gaya marte marte caz ghar aaram na kar paaya 😆 that is how strong his need is for her.. but he wouldn't accept it.. the dhoka dhoka dhoka is important caz indeed after realizing not taking an action will be a dhoka so now he will try to probably take some faisla or decide to come to terms instead of living in denial and staleness

I see what you mean - every other slip - he has been so engaged in the moment that the slip seemed like an understandable one - this one seemed a little more intentional and less caught in the moment and not in snych with what has happening in the scene :) MAybe they edited some portion out! :)

I don't think he will ignore what happened in PD this time either but he will again fail in telling Malini the truth.....definitely doesn't seem like he can brush anything under the carpet after what he realized today.

I still cannot for the life of me take it as real 😆 it feels more like a dream or imagination on either part the edit was so poor in that bit too came and go Goa gone in a sec without any impact on either them behaving as if yeb roz ka hai🤷‍♀️ I felt him calling her later to give him Sahara more real.in their zone and showing his desire to not let go of physical or emotional connect more natural and in line with their characters
