I find Shaans character confusing

Being a bad husband is one thing but then he was also a crap father ...what’s his excuse ? Tbh there isn’t any

There are times I feel he blames Shaurya subconsciously for his separation from his wife

Why in 25 years has he not tried to bring back his wife or leave the house to be with her ?

It’s not like Astha and Shaan couldn’t make ends meet if they lived on their own

Devi is manipulative but more and more she is coming off as Tejs pawn ....based on past few episodes he seems to be pulling the strings in the house

I think maybe Shaan is just the sensitive weakling. The other brother is just a kiss ass

I agree that's why I'm wondering if there is a backstory to his having to stay back. Otherwise it really makes no sense to me why he can give updates about their son to Aastha, but was never able to make them meet?

I need a stronger justification since right now both of their stories are a bit flimsy to me. Aastha couldn't get to him because of the Sabherwals but she could have at least fought just for visitation rights even if she didn't want to fight for custody. She had enough going for her that I doubt a court would have denied visitation, especially since courts tend to be sympathetic to mothers more than fathers. And then Shaan is truly confusing. Even if Aastha decided she didn't want to be with him anymore, there is no reason he couldn't have helped son and mother meet. Did Devi accompany Shaurya everywhere he went? Was there no way for Shaan to sneak him out of the house to meet his mother a few times?

@bold I completely agree with this and I'm hoping that they actually go this direction and make Devi sympathetic because a part of me does believe she deeply cares for Shaurya, even if there are ulterior motives as well. Her dialogue about how without Shaurya there is no Devi hints that maybe there is more to this story? Otherwise it is just an unhealthy attachment 😆

To answer ur question, in original version, FL shifts with Shaan and Aastha and lives with them. And the ML makes excuses to go their house 😆.

Here I thought that Shaan would shift all the way to Kapurthala but this plot I wouldn't mind! Shaurya making excuses to go see his parents only so he can see Anokhi😆

Thanks for sharing 👍🏼

But why would he need to make excuses if she is in his class ? He sees her almost daily as is ?

Does he go that gaga for her that he needs to see her after class and on weekends ?

I can see the cuteness potential there as long as it doesn’t get OTT and a bit creepy

It is a fair possibility that he might just be that. Bcz not only Shaurya but even Shaan is always reminded that the couple sacrificed their family life for Shaurya and brought him up.

Why would they make him feel so if he was blackmailed into giving up on his marriage? Why make him feel indebt if Shaan is actually aware of their sins?

@bold Shaan does seem to at least blame them seeing as he asked Devi why she would care what happens to Aastha. He taunts Tejvi every now and then but seems to never cross an invisible line in the sand. So I wonder what is keeping him from spilling everything about how and why Aastha left the house in front of Shaurya when it's hardly hidden from him how much venom Devi puts in Shaurya's mind about his mother. It's not enough to just tell Shaurya "she is your mother and she loves you" without telling him anything else, and it's weird that he doesn't.

My crazy theory is somehow Shaan was responsible for why Tejvi couldn't conceive or them losing a baby that they conceived after much difficulty. That's why when they flaunt that they actively chose not to have a child so they could give all their love to Shaurya, he doesn't say anything. And it's also why he couldn't choose Aastha over his family. Though it's very possible there is no backstory and Shaan is just a weaker character than the rest 😆

The only explanation is that the writers never thought as deeply as us 😆. Honestly, it is difficult to find the motivations behind the actions of any of the characters apart from Shaurya.

This could also be true 🤣 Which is also why it makes Shaurya's character the most sympathetic of that family because the rest don't seem to have sufficient reasons for why they are the way they are😆
