Devi & Shaan

During Devi and Shaan's conversation, she said Shaurya would never be able to forgive himself if something happened to Aastha and then to Shaan said "you know what it's like to live a life of guilt." Is that in reference to Aastha or is that indicating something else that keeps Shaan tied to Tej and Devi? In a previous episode he mentioned to Aastha that he couldn't leave his brother 25 years ago. I'm wondering if there is a backstory that will explain why Shaan, despite loving Aastha to such an extent that he has been an alcoholic for 25 years and neglected his son so much, was unable to stand up to his brother for her. Maybe I'm reading too much into the dialogue but I'd love for there to be more layers to this trios relationship since it appears that Devi/Tej are great at emotionally manipulating people to keep them in control.

She is a manipulative woman. It is a possibility that cannot be ignored.

Shaan sd definitely take some steps nw. Kab tak blackmailed hota rahega? Hope he wd just leave Saberwal mansion n move in with Astha. 🙂

Devi also says it was her who approved Aastha and convinced Tej for their marriage. I wonder why. Did she already sense that Aastha would not last in the Sabharwal house and Shaan would be shattered? This would give her the opportunity to usurp all the power. Also, did she have a hand in Aastha's brother's accident to push Aastha to take such a decision?

Don't mind my outlandish theories. After watching the riot episode my imagination is also running riots 🤣.

She is very opportunistic as well so she might have found an chance to emotionally manipulate him. I hope they do show some majboori otherwise Shaan truly is just a spineless man who maybe wasn't confident he could make it without his brother's support and ended up ruining three lives in the process

I agree but I doubt Aastha would let that happen because then Shaurya wouldn't have his father either and if Shaan did that, Shaurya would hate Aastha even more for taking his father away from him. They might be on rocky terms, but it's clear that Shaurya values Shaan's presence in his life. My new hope is that Aastha realizes how much Shaan has failed their son and knocks some sense into him about how he needs to care for Shaurya. I want to see Devi squirm again when she sees Shaan all of a sudden start being a good parent and Shaurya's care for his father 😆

But this happens in Mohor 😆. Shaan does leave Sabharwal house to stay with Aastha accrdng to the original version.😆

It would be ironic if the leverage she has over Shaan that kept him from preventing his wife from leaving is that Devi is the reason Aastha even entered the house 🤣 I like your outlandish theories though! Maybe before Aastha's brother's accident also there was a forecast of rain by Alok/Devi's weather station😉

But you're totally right that there is actually a lot to explore as to why Devi convinced Tej. At times I wonder if this couple just plays good cop, bad cop with Devi pretending to be the reasonable one and Tej pretending to being the strict, unrelenting partriarch. She gets what she wants by telling everyone that she will speak to Tej in exchange for something.
