Agree with with everything! But I don’t see her back in Tripathi house as a servant. She clearly said she will not do any work around the house anymore. You guys think she will go back on that?

LOL this is from way back....the very early days of Imlie starting to stay at Tripathi house. Family was prepping for Adi-Malini's engagement and Aparna made Imlie try on a ring....that's when Adi made this comment. He was in a different headspace back then actively resenting/blaming Imlie in his defensiveness and need to push her away.....so any time Imlie ended up touching something he deemed to belong to Malini, he put her down....in this case he told Aparna ki chandan aur mitti mein farak hota hai or something to that extent....implying that Malini is chandan and Imlie is mitti😆......but as you put it beautifully, Chandan bhi mitti mein hi ugta hai :)

There is a world of a difference between that Adi and the Adi today....are we really going to pretend the story hasn't progressed way past that point? Gunshot track has more than shown Imlie's value in Adi's life.....one offhand comment about chandan/mitti is not the sum of him. He has his own way of elevating Imlie's value in his life now....as he showed in his response to her "sadak ki dhool" lament.

What really amuses me is how the whole situation has changed the characters have evolved since then the equations are slowly changing yet it doesn't seem to register unless said.. the nuances get ignored totally. One can't stick to every word and spell it out for ya... there is more to read underneath all that in this story.. this ain't your regular story... the beauty here is to see all the distance they have come in between then to now and the changed feelings and attachments.. that was an adi nursing his very fresh wound trying to leave no chance to rub it in her face that he doesn't belong to her that she is enforced on him going the extra mile to take the jibes.. he isn't thr same guy anymore living with her under same roof they developed a bonding where she got used too to his ways and he to hers. Then he found her repulsive now it is not the same.. one gotta watch the story on a broader spectrum and understand the emotions behind the scenes the context is important than just sticking to certain words to hold it against him. Yes adi can really test one's patience but he isn't the regular stereotypical ML he is much more than that same goes for imlie and as you said it is these very flaws and complexities their internal dilemma that makes you tune in..

And that goes along with my previous post.. the evolution of the bond.. the adi who had 0 trust who judged and misunderstood her intentions who thought she was out to ruin his life make it miserable only by her presence then caz he never tried to know her is now out claiming she won't ever tell anybody that is the trust that grew along with time that is the faith she has earned through her time at tripathis by showing she is just harmless to him... that is what happened when a relationship moves from.point A to B slowly and steadily ... not like imlie has given him some bhashans on how she will bear it all nope that came simply from getting to know each other better and again they have hardly out any effort in doing that too but it is just her goodness her sachaai that made her earn itna sa bhi bharosa..

@bold: And waise technically he HAS spelt it out also ki woh pehle ki baat thi😛😆....so I'm not sure why there is still confusion about how far Adi has come from that time.

And honestly, this is not to say that Adi is some perfect guy above any reproach....heck, main khud uski kitni band bajaati hoon in almost every thread😆....there is plenty to criticize him about for the mess he has made of many things.....but I think it's important to view the story as a whole and not through the lens of one singular event/scene.....characters evolve with situations....and so has Adi as he's gotten to know Imlie and gotten more attached to her.

I'm not sure....only way to get Imlie out of the servant status at Tripathi house right now is to send her to college....so if she comes back to attend college in Delhi, then she can stay in Tripathi house as a "family guest" in a sense😆.....since the truth of her marriage to Adi won't get revealed anytime soon, this is the only temporary workaround available.

Or if the writers want to continue milking the TRP cow, they will bring her back still in the same mode so that they can keep the TRP drama going of Mrs. C calling her "naukraani" over and over again.

Yes she said that but idk how much to put faith in it.. caz whatever would they tell the family to bring her back bhai padhai ke liye bhi why is she at their house you know what I mean.. not like tripathis know her Amma for her to.send the daughter like this.. koi jaan pehchaan hoti hai tabhi again bhejenge na so I guess she will come back and she will In all probability participate in chores too but it will be more as a member then naukrani naukrani.. maybe this time they will actually consider her as part of family.. waise bhi this is a rare family where the actual ladies of the house participate in their ghar ke kaam and I Don't see anything wrong in it..

Waise if she resumes her job too I Don't have that big of an issue as far as both adi imlie comes to a understanding regarding that.. it is to see how that gets tackled so for me personally it is too early to give a judgment ke aise nahi aise hona chahiye

I'm most curious to know what excuse she thinks she can use to stay in PD for a few days also😆....and then once Adi shows up, situation will flip again😆.....I wonder if Adi bhi soch samajh ke excuse dega ki why he's shown up Imlie ke peechhe peechhe😆....SK/Mithi will ofcourse interpret everything to be a proof of how 'made for each other' these two are🤣.

Band bajana is one thing for his flaws but to hold onto every word he said and unseee the progress is another just caz he specifically hasn't referred to a particular word/situation again and have talked about it in a broader way..

Band bajao sure.. but only till it is valid criticism and along with that appreciate the good that he does or anyone else do too basically keep the room to change the thought process and not stick to the first impressions

Ohh he has been way more cruel to her but that was different time, different place. He, himself was a victim and he was still reeling from the shock that he was forced to marry a 18 year old kid. His life, as he had envisioned was really on the brink of destruction. He could not share it with anyone and the only person who knew the truth as well as was the stark reminder was Imlie. Hence, his way of coping was lashing out. I, frankly will not blame him for those things, as in a way he has already made up for most of the things since the gunshot track.

If there is something that I would blame or would like to see him atone for would be for bigamy. The day he married Malini, without telling the truth or dissolving his first marriage, was the day he did an injustice to both women. He own selfish decision, took the choice away from Malini and left Imlie with no choice but to lie. This is where he was wrong and where he should repent.

Sk/mithi are true shippers 🤣 adi would be more like Imlie hi kuch bahana bana degi mujhe sochne ke kya zaroorat hai jab imelia hai to cover for me 🤣
