As much as I want to ignore in fact I am not bothered about who the ML is engaged to...this kind of unnecessary footage makes me think daal mein kuch kaala hai. Whether Sai brought it up or Virat, why give unnecessary footage to the character at the expense of more important issues like Devyani's past. Even if Virat doesn't want to take action against his family, they could still have spoken more about it. Sai could've continued talking about how she suspected Pulkit was related, how Devyani reacted to Pulkit...so much so much has been left unsaid!!
