lol I might be the only one who didn't like Imlie today. What the hell was that "aap hume Radha yaa Rukmini nahi bana sakte par hume Meera banne se nahi rok sakte"???? I was so embarrassed for her there. 😬 Itna regressive dialogue, Siya Maiyya Imlie ko akal do. Though I, like Adi, do admire her strength for standing her ground & living her strong beliefs.

Aditya for a change was absolutely right throughout the whole episode. He showed Imlie the mirror about their relationship & how she can't keep living her life like this, that she's basically stuck doing maid work. He listened to Mun's worries & reassured her. Dude even immediately realised that he hurt Imlie's feelings, which certainly was a first for him. smiley36

Malini & Imlie both have faith in their marriages & that's what they told Aditya today. What's interesting is that Aditya now wants to keep both these women happy (not just Malini). His attachment to Imlie is obviously growing & he is thinking about her well being too, almost equally as Malini.

Aditya's feelings for Imlie will obviously complicate things for all three of them. And what today's episode showed is that Aditya will ultimately end up breaking one woman's faith (marriage) for the other one.

A very good & meaningful episode today. 👏👏👏

I wont say I did not like Imlie today. She was brilliant - but the spiel on being Meera did not sit well with me as well. Shows a lack of consistency in her beliefs....very progressive in one place and regressive in another. Let me copy an d paste my comment from the other thread.

....from not wanting marriage to now holding her forced one as the highest priority even over her lifelong ambition of studying was very regressive in a person - who gives bashans about women taking over Vday, loving yourself and standing up for yourself. Esp since she does not know Adi is going to fall for her and for all purposes loves Moon blindly. How to match her belief in marriage to the rest of her progressive thoughts? Adi answered this in his spiel at his office. That he does not often meet people who have firm beliefs and stick to them and tread the path. So much reflection on Imli today after none ever at all. I think the dam is quite ready to break...however knowing the cvs...we may get a couple of intense episodes than Malini sending Adi to pick her up.

I wonder if in his mind - her reasoning during the rain scene - that he would never come for her unless sent by his mom or Malini - as he was afraid - would play in his head. And the act of following heer with no one telling him would mean he is no longer afraid. Stepping ahead a bit here...but this came to mind today when I realized she was going to PG.

Also for some reason -today I was reminded of the poem Imli wrote for Adi-Malini wedding card. Imlie's core belief - :) I'm sure this one will be played back one day!

All the paths in the world end in one direction

Where God decides, our fate takes us there

A relationship is the music of the heart

It’s the tune of life

Those who don’t understand this, have wasted their life

Leaving aside the fact that I don't agree with her in considering Adi as a blessing from Sita maiyaa - I can understand her upbringing gives her this - and she will uphold this forever.

Although Imlie's thought process sounds regressive. You have to realize she comes from a village (where it is deep rooted that suhag is everything. Seeta mayya ki des). And also she got something her mother craved for, a husband and sindur. She is living up to that expectation without realizing what she truly feels. At this point I don't think she loves Aditya. He hasn't done anything to deserve her love. It is her thought that he is her husband hence she must stand by him.

Let's see what happens next, but Imlie will come out of this as well as she is born with courage.

Nope i loved her meera dialogue, she gave the perfect example! ❤️👍🏼

Meera wasn't the wife of Krishna still she was madly in love with him even though she knew she is never gonna get him, & here imlie is adi's legally weeded wife that too first wife but still she is sacrificing her love for her hubby's happiness sake. 😔

So then either its not the right example or she is not the first wife ... no?

What can I say ?? It feels jarring when she mouths off big dialogs to Rupi about self love and then goes running to her village to keep the dignity of the forced marriage intact. Entrance exam preparation can go to hell ! Studies , what studies ??

That is what I said on the V day episode too, when the entire forum was busy praising hymns on her supposed progressiveness and her Pearl's of wisdom lavished on Rupi. What happened to giving koni to such feelings and what happened to self love now ?? I said I loved her words but don't really believe them coming from her because I know she says all these things just like in tiktok chote bachhe ajkal are giving life ke gyan to increase their views and followers 😆, without actually following them, believing them or even understanding them. 😆 It is always easy to advise others and difficult to uphold the same principles in one's own life. People suicide even after doing movies on anti suicide social message. Fact.

There is a difference. Rupi was tring to commit suicide. Imlie is trying to step away and live on her own now as she believes the marriage was real for her. She is trying to be strong (as misguided as her village value system is)

What do we know about Rupi and her traumas and trials to reach that conclusion?? Judgmental much?? The show is on Imlie so we know her journey. We know nothing about what exactly Rupi went through. Let's never forget it. Maybe her betrayal was too strong?? She had a happy married life with her husband and had a daughter between them. How her happy married life fell apart , how her life become so lifeless and how she lost the love of her husband to another woman ,got divorced and came back to her maternal home with her daughter as single mom. We only know hearsays. How can we say Imlie would not have done the same thing at that same moment had she went through exact same phases in her lives. The way I see it every person has different life , different journeys, so before hailing some one else as strong womaniya or calling some one weaker we need to keep that simple fact in mind. That's what I exactly said, it's very easy to give advice to others but if we go through that same trials in our lives will we be able to apply that same advice for ourselves ?? In most cases, the answer is no. In Imlie's case, it's a definite no.

Also, suicide is ending life right ?? So what Imlie is proposing to do, that's also a kind of suicide. Career and life suicide.

Her kismat is good that Aditya will fall for her and her life will be set. But if if wasn't the case, what'd happen with her ?? Forever staying hidden in Pagdandiya, a place where she herself admits there's no future , no hope for her.

As long as destiny doesn't serve everything ina platter to her, it's not like she's taking any active step of effort for a better life despite her declaration of self love. Every positive step in her life has come through initiation by someone else or other. Be it Tripathis, Aditya or Malini.

hey @musicmuse, good to see you back in the forum. 😊

I completely agree with your viewpoint on rupali and imlie. There shouldn't be any comparisons between rupi and imlie. As viewers, we don't know exactly what trauma she has gone through. We have heard only a few lines on her failed marriage that's it.

As far as imlie is concerned, we have seen her journey. She herself chose a life in which she won't force herself on adi and was happy to live like a servant in his house. If adi didn't say it today, she would have continued to stay their as a maid. Agar koi college ki baat karde toh theek warna na sahi.

Ghar pe beth kar studies karne se kaunsa degree mil jayegi. She will get ghanta out of self love. Life mein tripathis ko save karne ke alawa koi apne life koi big step uthaye. 🤓

Imlie took a decision of leaving him because she clearly misunderstood his whole point of achieve something in life rather than just live a servant life. She thought he was indirectly wanted to get rid of her. But atleast she said she will stand on her own feet. Let's see PD mein yeh possible bhi hoga. I highly doubt that. 🤓
