Not everything has to be shared on social media.Constructive criticism can guide you away from bad practices and towards good ones. There's a difference between constructive criticism and hate.Recently, a Pakistani actor and his wife were criticized for keeping dogs at home.

I respect actors who stay away from SM. They know that in this society anything can be used against you..and since they want the main focus to be on their dramas and acting, they prefer to keep their personal lives private.😊

Also I respect actors who use SM to post about their new dramas, or news related to them. This way they interact with their fans in a usefull way.

I wonder why should actors post pics which are against our Islamic culture. They know that they are followed by many ppl, some teenagers, or non educated ppl may start doing like them!😔 So our culture may change and we wake up one fine day to see girls walking in streets wearing revealing cloths.🤓

On the other hand ppl who criticize actors for going against their culture should be more polite. The amount of bashing and dirty words I read in some comments are scaring!☢️

Yesterday I saw a video of Mahira , Moomal and their friends dancing on a viral vid .. Their moves, and cloths were rovoking.😡 All the comments were bashing .

I would say that Celebrity's life is there personal life until they don't make it public by posting each and every moment of their life on sm. Jab celebrities apni zindagi ki nomaish karty hain sm par toh wo public ko khuli ijazat dety hain unhey criticize karney ki. For example if Minal and Ahsan had not posted their intimate pictures than fans would have not bashed them. I got it it's their personal moments but they should keep them to themselves na. Unhey bhi pata hai bina shadi ky yeh sab karna ghalat hai and they will get criticism that's why such celebrities turn off their comments section. App kisi ko moqa hi na do ky wo apko apki acting yan singing ki bajaye apki personality (personal life) par criticize karey.

Sometimes celebrities give such rude replies by involving someone's parents. Even sometimes they don't take healthy criticism. I have come across a post where a fan said to Ahmed Ali butt that he used to look better as chubby in reply AAB gave such rude answer.

Celebrities should think before posting and replying on SM.

Jahan taak logon ki baat hai. Yeah they should remain in limits. I don't know why people waste their time by criticizing someone on SM. And they should refrain from using abusive language. Sabney apna hisaab khud dena hai. We are no one to judge anyone. Unka amaal unsey humein apney upar focus karna chaiye bus.

Thank you for joining the discussion.😊

You rised some important points here like actors posting their intimate moments on SM. 🤓 We saw them hugging and kissing in open. Some are married , but this don't give them the right to post such things as they are against our culture and Islamic roles. 😔 Sana Fakhar and Sarwat Gilani got lots of bashing for it. Also Minal, Alizey too were bashed for posting pics with their boyfriends.

You also mentioned actors over reaction on criticism .. Calling names, and naming parents are shamefull. Actors are public vigures , and they should keep their language and behaviour in tact.

When an actor/actress joins social media with a public account under their "real name" and post non-work related info , at that moment they are no longer representing their job, they are representing themselves. So they will be judged in what they post and not how good/bad their dramas are etc.

Social media is a public platform. If you post a picture, be ready to get some good and bad comments. You cannot please the whole world, some ppl will criticize. There are no 2 ways about it. No one is obligated to like everything you post.

I disagree with a few of the previous posters who said PDA is wrong, modern clothes are bad influence on youngsters etc. Is Minal the only girl who goes around and has lovely time with her fiance, don't girls have boyfriends in normal life? Is her fault she is going around with her fiance OR is it that she posted those pics?

Celebrities are not morally responsible for guiding a generation. As long as what they are doing is not unlawful or illegal they can choose how to live their lives. Instead of asking celebrities to pretend and be something they're not, teach youngsters to choose a better role model. Instead of expecting the female celebrities to always wear salwar kurta, teach the girls that wearing jeans is okay too if they're clear about it in their heads.

Social media is toxic but these celebrities get paid handsomely to be on it. If the negativity is bothering them too much, shut it off. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. Else you should be resilient enough to give zero ****s to what people say. No amount of followers or endorsements are worth trading your mental health for.

Coming to those who comment and give "friendly advices", as a society and as netizens, stop poking your nose in everyone's matter. You like it, fine. You dislike it, fine. Don't go about using foul language, threatening, abusing. But then as someone famous once said,"give a man a mask, and he will reveal his true self." (modified to suit the current narrative). Anonymity makes every Tom, Dick and Harry feel like superheroes. Who the hell needs more moral policing that there already is.

But aren't there enough global celebrities who do this, even if you prohibit desi celebs from doing it?

Saying that celebs wearing modern clothes will misguide a generation, isn't it same as saying girls wearing modern dresses tempted the rapists. Or like having a candyshop will in neighborhood will make everyone diabetic. Instead of asking others to dress according to our personal preference, should we be teaching our kids on how to decide on what, when, where it is appropriate and where it is not.

If i were an actress, i would keep 2 social media accounts- one private (for family/frnds) and one public acct for professional engagements. I would only share posts/pics which are work related or are being endorsed by Me, the actor and not Me, the person. I would like to earn followers for me my work and not me the person. I wouldn't share my personal life on social media at all. I don't want to be known for or judged for my personal life choices by random strangers online.

I really admire the likes of Ranbir Kapoor who keep off social media and stay relevant bcz of their work.

I would never do what Saif and Kareena are doing to Taimur. It is almost unforgivable to put that childon display like a zoo animal.

Thank you for joining the discussion. 😊 and plz check the new DOTW#13 .😳

I am not blaming girls who wear modern cloths of tempting rapists. I was just trying to defend our culture, and I know many ppl won't like it,😒 but it is important for us to keep our culture rules respected and avoid clashes between ppl over such things. You know when late Qandeel Baloch was killed , it was blamed to her posts on SM and youtube.. I am not blaming her.. but in this society you should respect your culture.

I agree with you that it is important to teach our kids about our cultute. I know it is becoming even more difficult to teach them which is right and wrong, because now the world is like and open village.🤓

But isn't culture a thing of constant change? Some things have to change with time, somethings have to be held onto even tighter and somethings just have to go extinct. Society is you and me.. And the first ones to begin the discussion of the change is always penalized by society but that doesn't necessarily mean they were wrong. If no one started the change, untouchablility would still exist, slavery would still be in existence, widows would still be burnt with their husband's corpses, women in Saudi would still not be driving.

All im saying is that unless we adapt with time, we perish in time. Culture and society should not to be rigid, it should be fluid keeping up with the times... Or at least letting them change those who want to, even if you personally don't.

I agree with you. Times change ,ppl change too. If it was just about culture, I might accepted some changes.. but it has more to do with Islamic rules too. I prefered talking about culture more than religion , because in most of the cultures in East nudity is forbidden. There are few rules and norms in common between us. Most of Pakistani actresses respect Islamic rules, except hijab of course.. but it is acceptible, coz as you said ppl change with time. But most of them know their limits.. only few who go overbord and post inappropriate pics in order to get more followers, or make noise , so that they become famous.😊

Social media is just like criticism, can make or can break.. there are pros and cons. Also I believe when I like an actor, his or her personal life really effects me more or less. I'm not going to judge a person from that but it will put a scratch mark for sure.

Without mentioning any name I'll give an example: I love a female actress from my heart and I had an image of an innocent girl of her, if I found out from social media that in real life she is the opposite I'll feel I was betrayed with her naïve characters...though I know I should care for the actor not for her personal life!!!

Hey.. Recently i saw a youtube video of someone critising women celebs who wear inappropriate clothes and try to show their skin but what I found more amusing was he was describing their features and body shape in his criticism. To me it seems like he was doing a sin by commenting such vulguar things about them, though they are wearing but one should also know his/her place to talk shit about celebs. Healthy criticsm dosen't stoop to this level.
